Early morning travel day scene. Goal:  up and out by 8 am!  Reviewing a map, washing dishes, filling our collapsible crates, T directing boys this way and that way, electronics and a cooler waiting to go out to the truck, Dustbuster ready to dust. Sometimes I forget how weird it is that we regularly pack up our house and move it around. After almost 6 years fulltime, we got packing up down to a science. Yesterday I got a text from my friend Amanda asking about the campfire we had planned.  What campfire?!  Ha!  She has 4 boys and had a hunch the plan Jonah made wasn’t on the up and up lol!  Campfire schemes, because, Jonah! In the end, we decided it was a great idea and went for it anyway tonight.  Luckily, I had a bag of marshmallows tucked away left over from 4th of July!  After a spring and summer of traveling similar routes since we both have cubers that went to nationals, we are all heading separate ways this weekend.  I’m not sure what our kids are going to do without each other […]

fall colored leaves

I love that the boys saw fall colored leaves on the ground and immediately ran to show me with breathless excitement, insisting we keep them on the mantel.  I get really excited about fall too, it’s my favorite season, especially when we just so happen to be in the northeast.  We lucked in to reservations in Acadia National Park this year during what will hopefully be peek fall foliage and we are all looking forward to it!
