Travel day from Pennsylvania to New York today. Upon arrival we had just enough time for a game of Skip-Bo while dinner was heating up. Just me and the 3 boys while Jason and Taryn went out to get diesel. Another long day tomorrow as we head back to Maine.

Yesterday I posted a rainbow in the sky. Today, a rainbow for our bellies. 🥰 The kids have been begging for Nancy’s Sky Garden but we are currently 1,500 miles away. So today Taryn and I did our best to recreate it. Mango chicken was pretty close. Almond, garlic, ginger dressing not so much but it was still pretty good. All 6 of us cleared our plates so I’m counting it as a win!

Yesterday I got a text from my friend Amanda asking about the campfire we had planned. What campfire?! Ha! She has 4 boys and had a hunch the plan Jonah made wasn’t on the up and up lol! Campfire schemes, because, Jonah! In the end, we decided it was a great idea and went for it anyway tonight. Luckily, I had a bag of marshmallows tucked away left over from 4th of July! After a spring and summer of traveling similar routes since we both have cubers that went to nationals, we are all heading separate ways this weekend. I seem to have backtracked this week in both pain and mobility. It’s been awhile since I’ve had so many intensely bad days in a row. Very thankful for this campground hot tub. Jason put dinner in the instant pot last night and we snuck over while it was cooking, leaving the teens to watch the boys for a bit. I’ll miss this hot tub when we head back to Maine this weekend.

Two feral, dirty, silly little boys who stole my snack and my heart. They spend 10 hours a day outside playing with friends, only driven inside by thirst, hunger, the bathroom or rain. Today it was rain.
