Jay | Austin Newborn Photographer

This little guy just stole my heart this morning.  The top photo was literally the very first photo I took at this session, little rock star! He wasn’t a huge fan of the whole sleeping thing.  It’s ok because he’s so very cute.  Add in red hair, big blue eyes and a couple of dimples, I couldn’t resist him!  I’m so excited to get to capture his first year of life!!  Congrats Jessica and Trey, I’m so thrilled for you guys!

Ziggy | Austin Newborn Photographer

Ziggy is his nickname and I love it.  He was the sweetest little thing and by the time their canvas came in (of the first photo) I got to go back and see him again while delivering it.  Wow, he’d changed so much already!  It reminded me why it’s so important to capture little ones all fresh and brand new, they change so fast and those early days go by in such a haze.  I’m already looking forward to his 1st birthday session this December.  I can’t wait to see this sweet family again!

I happen to LOVE his name.

Tyler William. Of course they had no idea that my son has the exact same name. Great minds think alike. I think they have awesome taste in names. And they have pretty/handsome babies!

This family has a special place in my heart as they have invited me to photograph some pretty special moments in their lives.  I did this session right before things got tough with Teagan and unfortunately they had to wait a while for their photos.  They showed me an immeasurable amount of grace, understanding and patience and I am so thankful.  Instead of asking for their photos, they sent us notes of support, a care package to the hospital filled with books to pass the time, goodies for the kids, snacks to get us by and also sent many prayers.  I truly have the best clients a girl could ask for!  K family, thank you and congratulations on the birth of Tyler William, I am so thrilled for you!

ps – Can I give a great big triple fist pump for double toddler eye contact AND smiles up there!!  HA!!

they warned me

I got fun little text messages from her parents leading up to this session that warned me she is really cute.  and a poser.  and totally perfect.  at 11 days old, I have to agree, she is.

she rocked her session today with lots of sleep, sweet gazes into the camera, a few smiles, a lot of snuggles and and whole lot of sweetness.

and yes, i realize it isn’t very nice to not show you the insane amount of cuteness at the other end of the highchair photo, but trust me, it’ll be worth the wait!!

belle | austin newborn photographer

Miss Belle is also a little bitty thing weighing in at around 5 lbs at birth.  I also photographed her birth but I am still working on proofing those images (halfway done Pam!).  Her parents chose to have me proof her newborn photos first so they could get announcements out but I wanted to take a quick break and come share a few.  LOVED this session.  The color, the moments, everything.  When I arrived I asked if they were friendly with their neighbors because it would be great to use the flowers in their yard as a backdrop.  They thought I meant the beautiful, manicured yard two doors down…nope not me….I was drawn the house across the street that hadn’t been mowed since last year.  HA!  Yeah baby….

Uh, have I ever mentioned how much I adore grandpas?  I LOVE cute little old grandpas.  He was so cute with Belle, a confident hand and just in love with her….I love how they are checking each other out in the first one.

And as I was setting them up for a shot on the front porch, I was testing the light, he was getting ready, and both of them sneezed at the same time.  Such a cute moment!

I can’t wait to see this one on canvas….

And then as I was poking around in the nursery looking for things to incorporate into their session, blankets, etc.  I found THIS!!  It pays to be nosey!  HA!  I thought I had died and gone to photographer heaven right then and there!  I mean seriously?!  An original bright red English Pram?!  And bonus, it belonged to her Daddy when he was a baby overseas.

And last but not least, my fave family shots from this session….

Pam & Chris, congratulations on the birth of Belle, she is so beautiful!  It has been a pleasure to get to know you and I look forward to photographing your family again in 6 months!  Birth photos coming soon, promise!!

happy | cedar park newborn photographer

I still can’t believe it.  With three children of my own and having photographed countless numbers of babies…I still can’t believe it.  Yes, I have had a few babies throw smiles my way through the years, and they are super cute, but for the most part, they are a result of gas or a little nudge of the cheek.  But not this morning.  This little guy, was so chill, and I started to make sweet talk with him while shooting and each time I did, he’d look right at me and smile.  At first I thought it was a fluke, but he did it over and over again!!  Talking to him in a calm voice was so calming for him and he really just loved it.  He’s so curious and at just 11 days old, I was so surprised with how alert, and genuinely happy he is!

If I hadn’t of experienced it for myself, I wouldn’t have believe it!  He so stinkin cute with all that hair too!!

Congratulations on your new son Christy & Dominic, I’m so thrilled for you both!!
