My sweet friend Tara has been a photographer in Austin for many years with Life is Sweet Photo Boutique. She retired a few years ago and I will admit, I was a little sad because I absolutely love the way she captures my family! I first met Amy and her husband almost 15 years ago. Michele and I did a charity shoot to benefit Haiti and Amy won! It is actually the only time Michele and I ever shot together side by side, even though we photographed each others families quite a few times. We had such a fun time jumping around downtown Austin with them doing a Love Light Night Session! I saw the whole family 2 years ago for a mini session and now they have 2 incredible teenagers, time goes by so quickly! These two parents are crushing it, I was SO impressed by their kids!!

Sometimes I capture a beautiful portrait. Other times I’m lucky enough to capture the essence of exactly who someone is. Ha!

It’s funny because her Mom and I were chatting at the end of their session about capturing little Faith moments that tell the story of exactly who she is. Then I came home and peeked at my card to find this gem. Gosh I just love this girl!

It’s always a little shocking to see big kids walk up, smile and give me a big hug at the beginning of a session….especially when I’m completely sure they were just babies a couple of days ago. Photographing this sweet family through the years is always such an honor. And while it was a little cold, we had some pretty sweet light last night!

Several of you have asked so I decided to open up an evening of mini sessions in the fall! It’s the perfect time to update your family photos and get a few photos of the kids to give as gifts or use for your Christmas card!

I currently have 3 mini sessions open on the evening of November 14, 2020 in Round Rock, Texas! Each mini session includes one immediately family and 30 minutes of shooting time. I’ve known Sara online for a really long time and I was so excited to get her and her beautiful family in front of my camera for the first time! They were so much fun, my face hurt from smiling at the end of their session! Plus, Topher brought along his trumpet for a few photos and I was treated to a performance. It made me feel like I was at home in NOLA!
