for all the well wishes and prayers, we appreciate them more than you know.

teagan is doing well.  we expected him to scream and cry when they took him from us to go into the OR but he did fantastic, not even a tear shed.  coming out of surgery was another story.  he was scared, in pain and very disoriented.  but after lots of extra cuddles today and some extra rest, he’s doing very well.  i will still be a little scarce and slow to reply to emails as my little man needs my attention and jase returns to a full day of work tomorrow.  thanks again!

and a huge thank you to my dear friend, for letting us drop off our […]

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a family session that wasn’t a newborn, in home, instead of on location.  I forgot how much I absolutely love in home sessions.  I get to see who they are and capture the family interact and be themselves in their own space.  Love that.  This cute family had grandparents in for Easter and we managed to sneak in a session while they are still here.  We played, we blew bubbles and danced and read books and chased the dog and blew kisses andcuddled and took a bubble bath and read a bedtime story with grandma…..whew, toddlers are busy!  Oh, and we hung out with mommy….love these….

seems like i’ve been posting lots about teagan lately.  the girl is still here mixing things up the way she does.  keeps the boys on their toes.  i love this shot of her….

i am feeling antsy this afternoon.  my session for tonight got rescheduled and it is gorgeous outside.  once the kids wake up and jase gets home i want to get outside and do something.  not sure what, but something.

I’ve had this session on the books for weeks, but try as we might, we had a hard time making it happen.  Texas has been having some wacky weather here lately, everything from 75 degrees to 35 degrees with wind advisories and even hail storms.  Crazy.  While it was pretty windy today, it was finally warm enough to venture out with a little bitty one.  We finally got to meet up tonight and I had such a good time with this sweet family.  I can’t look at these two photos and not smile….so happy to have captured these.  His Mom and Dad warned me it might be difficult to catch some smiles, but I brought my bag of tricks along […]

ty and i took teagan out this morning to take his birthday photos.  my normally happy, love the camera, look at me and smile boy was in a bad mood.  just got off a round of steroids and he has not been a happy little camper.  it was funny to come home to a card full of scowls and bad moods, so not him.  ah well, it is what it is.  not sure if i’ll have time to take any more this week, lots going on.  i think we’ll call this one roid rage lol….

poor little guy, he just wasn’t happy at all….

Six month olds are one of my absolute favorite ages to photograph.  They are always so happy, but not yet mobile enough to get away from me.  I love that it doesn’t take much to get eye contact and this age is soooo expressive, a photographer’s dream!  I’ve always said that if you are going to splurge on custom portraits of your child, there is no better time than as a newborn (before 14 days) and at 6 months (sitting well but not fully crawling).  It’s a small window on both accounts, but so, so worth it!!!!

And this little miss was no exception!  It was a little cold this morning, but she was a champ, is she cute or what?!?!  […]
