It has been a very simple Christmas at our house.  We’ve cut out a lot of the more toxic aspects (greenery, candles, lights, etc.) which leaves me to get creative when it comes to helping our house feel homey and warm for the holiday.  Instead of greens this year we are utilizing other options and textures.  I made this paper wreath out of coffee filters to replace our normal green one for inside the house.  It took forever, 500 coffee filters and a whole lot of hot glue, but I LOVE it.  After Christmas I’m going to add a pretty letter “T” and hang it over Taryn’s bed.  You can’t tell from the weird overhead lighting in the photos, but it really a true white and very pretty.  If you want to make one of your own, you can find detailed instructions, with photos, here.
