I turned 32 yesterday. I can remember in my 20’s thinking how old 30’s would be, but it’s funny that now that I’m here it doesn’t really feel that old. Honestly, I think Ty’s age makes me feel older than my own. Yesterday started out pretty rough, we had some major contractor / house drama, but I managed to get away from it, at least for a few hours with my mom and the kids. We did a little shopping and had lunch. Of course coming home, it was like visiting the zoo, people everywhere, noise, the plumber was in and out, juggling phone calls from every direction and trying to convince Taryn to take a nap 3 hours later than normal. Gosh I really wanted to take a nap with her but there was just too much to do with all the chaos going on.
After the work was done for the day, we all settled in, ordered a pizza and my mom stopped by with cake and ice cream. It was so nice to spend some down time with the people I love. I got to open cards and gifts. Nice cards from all of Jason’s family and a nice phone call from my mother – in – law.
My mom gave me the most amazing gift, I truly never thought she’d part with it…..I cried when I opened our family heirloom teaset. Soooo excited. I remember having tea parties with my grandma as a little girl and I can’t wait to have them with Taryn once she’s old enough. Thank you Mom – best gift ever! Oh, and I love the new sewing machine too! I’m not great at sewing, but I try, and I’ve really missed it since Katrina ate my old one.
Ty got me a watch, I love it and really needed one as I haven’t had a new once since Katrina. Taryn got me a big plush throw blanket since I seem to be freezing cold all the time since I got pregnant. Jase sent me a bunch of gorgeous orchids.
My favorite. And he fed into one of my lens funds about a month ago that counted as part of my birthday gift. He’s started to call himself my lens sugardaddy 😉 hehe
I spent the rest of the evening snuggled up on the couch with the kids. All in all, it was a great birthday, 32 isn’t so bad. The coming year has great potential, I really hope it brings wonderful things.
