Two weeks ago my OB did an ultrasound and determined our little one wasn’t growing as expected. The peanut was behind by a good 10-11 days. We knew our conception days were right on, so that wasn’t the issue. It was a long, scary two weeks. I was under strict orders to take it easy, no stress, put my feet up and take it easy. I did the best I could. Jason took over handling all the house stuff, Ty helped with Taryn a lot, helped keep her busy during the day and I rested as much as I could. Our OB was worried, very worried, and so were we. Today was our follow up ultrasound, and after a long minute of not seeing the heartbeat on the screen, suddenly there it was, and both Jason and I felt a huge sigh of relief. Our little one has grown in leaps and bounds, only 2 days behind the due date! Way to grow little one! We are so relieved, so grateful. Hearing the heartbeat brought tears to our eyes. Isn’t it amazing how you can love someone so much that you’ve never even met? Watching the baby move all around, kicking and that little heartbeat was amazing, the best gift. Apparently Jason’s daily talk to the belly saying "GROW LITTLE ONE, YOU’RE TOUGH, YOU’RE A STRADTNER" worked like a charm =)
A couple other things to share….
Little T in the shower. She’s been taking showers for a little over a month now and LOVES it. Our bathtub has been out of commission due to the construction and I wanted to catch a pic of her in the shower before she returns to her tub routine….
same image cropped, love it too
Have y’all heard of Lauren Hartman? If not, you’ve got to check her out. I met her online and she’s fabulous. I managed to talk her into selling me a couple of prints of some of her macros. I just fell in love with them when I saw them (ok, so all of her work) but these were perfect for our master bedroom. I’ve had them for awhile but we just got around to hanging them up over our dresser and I love everything about them! Each print is an 11×14 on metallic and they are gorgeous, this pic doesn’t do them justice…
Thank you Lauren!!
Lyndsay – I am so thankful that things are looking good for this little one. “Peanut” is joining an amazing family full of a whole lot of love!
So happy that your new little one is doing fine! Don’t you just love Lauren’s work! She is truly amazing! Love the frames, where did you get them??
Hey Lyndsay,
So glad to hear that all is well w/ the baby! I personally know how scary that “wait” can be. It’s pure torture. Best of luck w/ the rest of your pregnancy & I hope it’s pretty uneventful! Looking forward to seeing newborn pics…. π
Glad everything is ok… I couldn’t take not hearing “Bean” everyday, so we rented a doppler on line and haven’t missed a day… it’s our nightly routine. I just felt movement the night before last, so once that’s regular, I can send the doppler back! π I agree… I love this baby as much as my two older children (14&16!) and we don’t even know if Bean is a he or she! π
Oh, Lyndsay, I’m so glad to hear your little one is doing well and growing. I am sure it is a giant relief. Between that and your construction being complete you must feel like your lives are getting back on track at last. You deserve it. π
And those photos you bought from Lauren look fabulous!!

Yay Lyndsay! I’m so happy for you! We had a small scare at the beginning of this pregnancy too and there is no way to explain the relief of knowing things are okay. I’m sooo releived for you!
And yes, Lauren is just about as good as it gets out there for macros. Those look beautiful!
Good luck! and keep keeping us posted!
