You know what I love about this time of year? Moms. Moms come out of hiding. They haul their butts from behind their own camera and they get in the photo. They show me how much they love their kids. Like, love them so much they just can’t hold it all in kind of love. And they share it with me. And let me capture that. And I love it.
I even make an appearance this time of year…..

My 3rd and final session of the day was one of my favorite families in the whole entire world. i have several thoughts….
1. They are beautiful individuals, every last one of them. But when you put all 4 of them together, beautiful just doesn’t cover it. 2. MC may never forgive me for introducing Jack to marshmallows tonight. 3. Jack pretty much loves me. 4. I love him too. 5. As soon as I determined the location of this client, I immediately offered to go to her. Forget meeting in the middle or driving in to Austin….Salado. One word that makes my little photographer heart sing. Best little town I’ve come across for photos in a long, long time. It’s overwhelming…everywhere you turn, texture, light, opportunity. I haven’t been back there since I photographed my own family there on Mother’s Day. Gosh that was a rough day. I’ve been wanting to go back with a client (read: people much easier to photograph than my own hooligans) and today was the day!

I’ve been looking forward to this session for soooo long (July I think?!). Little man just turned one and it was the perfect time to celebrate and capture some photos of their adorable family. He is so cute, very busy, walking running like a champ and all boy! I love this family shot, Austin is such an amazing city and I feel so lucky to live here. I shot this after dusk (f/1.2!)…
