Happy.  It is the first word that comes to my mind when I see this family, their warm smiles, the love that they have for the place where they are right now, a busy life with toddlers.  I just love it.  I’ve been lucky enough to photograph them several times over the last 3 years.  We didn’t know it at the time but Megan and Teagan were born just one day a part just a few rooms apart.  M, I can’t believe our “babies” are turning 3 but I really, really can’t believe how fast Ryan’s first year flew by!  I feel so lucky to have photographed him as a newborn and at 6 months old….I think back through the photos and they are some of my favorites in my portfolio.  I always have so much fun photographing this family, they show up ready to love and play.  Megan reminds me a bit of of Taryn, a little slow to warm and she likes to check you out and really make sure you’re ok before she lets you in.  This time I think it worked in my favor that I ran into them a few times going in and out of Music Together in the weeks just before their session, no warm up necessary, she was good to go!  HA!

A sidenote about the cake….we had to sneak off with just Ryan while Megan wasn’t paying attention to do the cake smash photos.  About a good 5 minutes in I hear running footsteps and Megan yelling “cccaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!  cccaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!”  Total crackup!  I feel the exact same way about cake my friend.  I loved that she dove in too and it didn’t phase Ryan in the least, so cute!  Happy birthday little man!

And I have to say thank you again to that beautiful lady up there, who sent me the most wonderful, thoughtful and unexpected surprise Christmas gift.  It truly made my holiday and I cannot thank you enough.  I have the best clients a girl could ever ask for!!  Thank you again Michelle!!
