Day 2 WCA Cubing Nationals 2023 looked like this for me.  I way overdid it yesterday while still deep in recovery from my injury.  I am so frustrated with my body, slow healing, lost stamina, constant pain.  I want to be there every second and my body just won’t let me.  My goal is to be there every other day for a balance of rest and recovery.  So today I texted, watched videos, played the livestream and refreshed stats about 8000 times.  Jude had an incredible day!  He set a new PR (personal record) for clock average and made it in to the finals where he came in 14th!!!  It was […]

national park wall art

New national park wall art in our toyhauler!  This print has been sitting in a box in my bedroom for months!  Our toyhauler renovation has been slow and one of the challenges in making a very mechanical, dark room cozy, is dealing with massive ugly vents on the wall.  Since we haul kids instead of vehicles or toys, we don’t need the vent to function.  It’s visible from the living room and kitchen so it’s a big eyesore.  I really wanted to cover it up but had the hardest time finding a frame the right size deep enough to cover the part that juts out from the wall.  Enter handy husband!  Jason built […]

time to adult

I was trying to take a photo of Taryn’s birthday sign, but Maggie stole the show.  No one tell her it’s time to adult.  We love that she still acts like a puppy at the ripe old age of 12.

ps – I have decided to go for trying another 365 project while attempting to recover from bilateral adhesive capsilitis.  It’ll be filled with more every day life in the RV, less travel destinations and I am offering myself a ton of flexabilty and grace to pick up the camera when it’s healthy to do so.

pps – Our mantel is filled with travel treasures we love so much.  Shells from the Pacific and […]

Goodpops morning and night

2021-06-06T21:42:38-05:00June 6th, 2021|My Family, Jonah, RV Life, Zachary|

This morning when I got up I immediately noticed that Jonah looked really tired.  My mommy radar was going off and I asked if he was ok and resting well.  After a few minutes of asking him I got a confession out of Z.  These two have been getting up at 5 am to sneak a popsicle the last few mornings.  I’m glad they are bonding as new bunkmates but definitely not onboard with their new routine.  Evening popsicles though, I’m all in!  We love Goodpops!
