Today was hard

Today was hard. We found out that my former father-in-law, Ty’s grandpa, passed away. We knew it was coming as he was removed from life support yesterday. It’s just a very sad situation. It feels like a lifetime ago that he was a part of my daily life. He was there for us during some really hard, difficult, times. He absolutely adored Ty and his older sister. Moments after we found out about Nathan, we broke down while moving from our rustic mountain spot to a nearby resort. We had to be towed 0.5 miles at a cost of $350 😣 They used a chain pull since we were towing the RV. […]

2019 Highlights | Full Time RV Family Travels East Coast

While 2019 was incredibly difficult year for our family (financially, physically, etc) we also had some really beautiful moments while traveling the East coast. We got stuck in Maine when Jonah broke his arm, we sold one business and started another. We spent 6 weeks in beautiful Michigan, fell in love with Cape Cod and so much more. This video may not tell the full story, but we still wanted to share a few highlights from the year. We met some wonderful people and made memories that will last a lifetime!

Viral vaccine induced demyelination recovery

Today marks 10 years since his severe vaccine injury. It’s crazy for me to even type that out. That it’s been so long….that he’s recovered and healthy. He beat the odds. It’s hard to see friends we made during that time living very differently because they didn’t recover. It’s heartbreaking and the sheer luck of it all is never lost on me. We were very blessed by the people placed in his life to bring healing. Every odd was stacked against him. We worked our butts off, he worked so hard, fought through the pain. He is living proof, recovery IS possible. There is hope! If your child is suffering from an […]

Colorado Snow in June

We woke up to a beautiful snow day! This is such a treat for these Texas kids! Today was described as “The day free fun fell from the sky!” I am so thankful for this time with them.

Getting 6 people snow ready in a tiny space is a huge job! We knew the snow was coming so last night I assigned each kid a dining room chair and we set out their gear: warm clothes, scarves, hats, mittens, boots. One thing we do for snow is utilize rain gear. We bundle up underneath in warm clothes then add it on top. It keeps them dry and we don’t have to store bulky […]

Continental Divide at Loveland Pass

Total accident! I try and take the kids out during Jason’s daily morning meetings so he can have some peace and quiet. Today we decided to drive up the mountain just a little to see if we could find some snow for the kids to play in. Our camp host said we’d need to go about 10 miles. So, off we went! We keep going up and up (I have altitude sickness and it was getting worse and worse). But the views were stunning so we kept going! Finally we see a bunch of cars on the top and decide to stop there too. Turns out it was the continental divide! We […]
