Today is “Teagan is asthma free day”
And I want to shout it from the roof tops.
And dance.
And cry tears of joy.
And celebrate.
We kicked asthma’s ass.
All the way to the curb.
We sent something life threatening out of our house, away from our child.
He can breath.
All the time. Not just sometimes.
He’s stronger.
His future is brighter.
His parents worry less.
No more panic.
No more coughing fits in the middle of the night.
No more steamy showers to open his airways.
No more avoiding triggers.
And we no longer deal with breathing treatments.
Or co-pays.
Or the ER, urgent care, countless doctor visits.
We will soon run errands without a rescue inhaler.
We will unplug the nebulizer and remove it from our living room.
And just now, I trashed the crap we’ve had to fill him with for over a year.
And that felt freaking awesome.
No more turning gray.
No more struggling to breath.
No more puffers.
No more preventative.
No more steriods.
No more damage to his body from asthma.
And that is huge.
Hooray Teagan! I’m glad you guys can ALL breathe easier, now.
Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!! I am thrilled for you guys!!!
YAY! What an awesome day!
so so happy for you!!!!
Ok, with Parker wheezing in the background as I type this I am leaning more and more towards buying that lotion… you may have just convinced me b/c this is such an AWFUL thing to have in your child! If I never have to watch for retractions ever again… well.. that would be an awesome day! Like yours. TODAY! Congrats!!!
That is awesome!! I’m so completely thrilled for you Lynds..I can’t even imagine how wonderful that must feel for your family and your mama’s heart 🙂 Good job!
I can’t wait for that day. October is probably the worst month for us. I almost cried at Target a bit ago when I got Pulmicort refilled and there was NO charge. Wow, you think that is awesome at first and then NO it isn’t because that means we have spent TOO much money and are in the special box now. I have ordered the PRP spray and CANNOT wait for it to arrive and say the same thing at our house. I am SO HAPPY for you all. We will toast you this evening at dinner 🙂 Love-Carrie
Awesome awesome awesome!! So happy for your whole family!!
What a glorious day Lyndsay!! Am so happy for you and your family! 🙂
Can I ask how? That is so fabulous that little Teagan is free of that awful thing. I have had asthma for 18 years, go thorugh a rescue inhaler a month and spend hundreds of dollars a month on other preventative care. I had no idea it was possible to be “cured” from asthma? Im intrigued. Just today I am fatigued due to waking up at 3 am gasping for air that I just couldn’t get. Congrats again. Thats fantastic.
Yayyyyyy for Teagan!!!! I’m soo happy for your baby boy! As a parent of a 2 yr old and from the wife of a husband that has asthma, i can’t imagine what you all have been through. But it’s great that you all can now say he is asthma free!
wonderful day..i have started Vit D to help with my own asthma
