One of the things I love the most about living in Austin is all the great friendships I’ve made with other photographers in the area. There is so much talent here, and I’m lucky that there is a small group of us that get along great. We can bounce everything from what vendor to use to what what jogging stroller to buy off of one another. We also all understand what it is like to always be behind the lens.

My little vacation is over and I it feels great to get back in to the swing of things. I met up with a great couple in downtown Austin first thing this morning…..

I just finished proofing MC’s family session last night and I just love how they came out. Jack, well, he steals the show. How could he not with his cute little grin, a dimple, cute hats annnnnd cuffed, pinstripe pants. MC had a professional stylist (I think that is what her title is anyways – sorry if that’s wrong) help dress them for their session and it totally paid off! Back to gushing over Jack, that little guy loves the camera and the camera loves him. Sorry for the lack of regular posts around here. Every spare moment has been spent proofing and just when I catch my breathe a little bit, another weekend full of shooting and amazing clients arrives. my very first Austin urban couples session….and it was a blast! cristina first contacted me and we talked about doing a couples session because they weren’t thrilled with their wedding photos. i could immediately relate to that. in fact, we only have one hanging in our home, so i know the sadness that comes with that disappointment. i’m so glad they decided to do this session as a way to make up for it, a way to capture them as they are, young and in love, pretty close to the beginning of their journey. i have been really excited about this session because i wanted to give them something special, i wanted them to be excited about their new photos, […]
