Gee Gee did.  On her last day here.  Just for Taryn.  Who was thrilled.

Ok, I’m going to be brave and risk possibly jinxing it.  It’s been a long road.  But….here goes….

Taryn is potty trained.  WAHOO!!  She’s going on 3 weeks of being accident free, not only during the day, but at night and nap time too.  We’ve been all over, out and about, all over town and she’s done great.  With the minor exception of having a fear of the black toilet seats at NXNW, didn’t occur to me all the potties she’s ever seen had white seats, until the moment she refused to go anywhere near it.  It was kind of funny and I can only imagine the poor soul in the stall next to us as I tried to explain the color of the potty to my toddler.

I am so proud of her.  One day, she just decided she was ready, and that was it.  Kinda reminds me of the day she was born, lots of build up, lots of practice and then boom, she’s suddenly ready, right now, and that’s it.  Now I’ve just got to figure out how to wean her off of potty treats from her big girl basket, because until that happens, I’m not saving any money by not buying pull-ups.  Every time she comes running out of the bathroom with her arms raised in victory and yells in her best outside voice "POTTY TREATS!"  She’s so proud of herself, and I’m so proud of her too.
