A little Thanksgiving recap. We were lucky enough to be able to take a little road trip down to Corpus Christi to see Jason’s parents and grandparents. The drive isn’t too bad from Austin, only 4 hours compared to 10+ from Louisiana to Corpus. My doctor is putting me on a short leash here pretty soon since both Ty and Taryn came early, so it will likely be our last little trip before the baby comes. No traveling for Christmas, but that’s ok, we weren’t planning on going anywhere anyway.
We had a really good time and the kids had a blast with all the grandparents – although I can guarantee you that they were whooped by the time we left! We had lots of good food and great company. I can tell you that the relaxation was good for all of us. The guys sent Jason’s mom and I off to get our nails done and Jason and I also got the chance to go out to dinner, just the two of us, for our anniversary. No cutting up food into small pieces, no requesting a highchair, no flying straw papers and no crayons at the table. It was fabulous…..thanks Grandma & Grandpa!
So onto a few snapshots from our trip….
Taryn with Grandma
Oh how I love my Grandpa….let me count the ways….
