This momma to be was absolutely glowing tonight, she’s gorgeous!  I think it’s pretty clear her husband adores her, would you look at that look of love in his eyes?!

There are very few things that make me more giddy than living in Texas in the spring and a momma who show up for their maternity session in cowboy boots.  I so love living in Austin.  Have I mentioned that before?  Yeah, I guess I have 😉  I hope you like these K & J, I can’t wait to meet your little one!!

She arrived and was welcomed by a family so filled with love. She’s a very lucky girl. When I look through the images, it hits me how happy everyone was that day. And joyful.  And thankful.  You can see it on their faces, each and every one of them.  I love that. And I’m thankful to have been there to document it. I love mom’s tears in her eyes as she sees her baby for the first time.  And the gaze from dad over to mom with a smile as he holds their daughter for the first time.  I’m always so impressed when first time moms hire a birth photographer, I know that they will […]

When you are born in Texas, there are a few things you’ll learn pretty quick.  The people here have big hearts, not just big cowboy hats.  We say things like “Howdy”, we love bbq, mexican food, and we’ll put queso on just about anything.  And we love to plop our kids down in the bluebonnets each and every spring.  It’s a tradition. And it’s never to early to start.

Congrats S Family, she’s absolutely perfect and it was an honor!

I got the distinct impression that sweet baby girls parents are in total and complete denial that someone will be having a birthday very soon.  When I started talking about her birthday session and cake I got a few “what are you talking about, there is no way our baby is about to be one you crazy lady?! looks!  HA!

At 10 months old, she’s as happy as can be and so much fun.  I love how they just soak in every second with her, every smile, every cuddle.  The cute little red rocking chair used to belong to her daddy and I heard a rumor that Grandma was going to be […]

A project I have been thinking about for a long time came to fruition this morning with one of my favorite families in Austin.  I’ll be back to share more as it takes shape over the coming weeks….

The Birth of Maddie Rose is by far, the most viewed birth experiences that I’ve ever posted.  Last June it had been hit 7,700 times according to my stats.  I got word from quite a few people last fall that the slideshow made the rounds on facebook and other social medias and it was embraced by several birth professionals from across the country and shared being cited as real, emotive and a […]
