his first halloween.  i’m so jealous of all the amazing pumpkin patch photos i’ve been seeing everyone take and share.  it just wasn’t in the cards for us this year.  yeah, we made it to the pumpkin patch, but it was hot, miserable and dusty.  taryn was wired and yelled in the car during the whole hour drive there, ty pouted once we got there, the hayride was pretty bad and lead to nowhere, then teagan cried the whole way home.  i think the idealistic, family tradition, beautiful fall trip to the patch has eluded us, and with it, the photos.  i did catch a few but they are still […]

Benefit supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

My friend and mentee MC is participating in Team in Training and we came up with a fun and easy way to raise some money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a very worthy cause. Cancer touched our family this year, Jason’s dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The word cancer is scary, and when it finds it’s way into your family, it changes things in an instant. We’re so lucky and thankful that Jason’s dad was able to beat it, is healthy and strong today, without facing chemo.  There are so many people out there fighting cancer, and every single penny counts.

he’s both!

Isn’t he dreamy?! I had a great time with an adorable little family this morning. We decided to head north to the quaint, quiet streets of downtown Georgetown. I’ve fallen in love with the location, tons of cool walls, doorways, alley ways, benches and not to mention the great park just a few blocks away.  We even hit the pumpkin patch around the corner before heading home. Little “J” did awesome, a little shy but he let me capture that silly little boy side too, love that!

beautiful maternity

I use the entrance to our subdivision quite a bit when photographing my own children.  It always provides for a great backdrop, the landscaping is always well kept and the grass is always green, which is kind of hard to find in Texas after a long, hot, dry summer!  Yesterday at Tiffany’s maternity session, she mentioned using the entrance to their neighborhood, and it was gorgeous, complete with fountain, cool rock walls, arch ways, a photographer’s dream!  I think Tiffany looks gorgeous and I can’t wait to meet their new baby girl in a few weeks!
