photo of cast removal for broken arm

Jonah had his plaster cast removed yesterday.  And while his arm IS improving, what followed was a complete disaster of medical care that was anything but good or personalized.  10 years ago Taryn broke her forearm and we had a fantastic experience with Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin.  The care has drastically gone downhill since then and we are so relieved that we can go seek healthcare elsewhere.  Never again, Dell.

When his cast was removed we washed his arm and Z noticed Jonah kept rubbing and touching it.  He jumped up and ran his fingers across his arm for quite awhile and asked him if […]

Jude dragged us to a nearby Audubon Center today.  It was early, cold and wet but we were all good sports.  We brought along our Osprey hiking backpack for Z but he didn’t even need it.  I feel like he’s turned a corner with hiking and wants to do it all on his own instead of going along for the ride.  Jason wore it empty all morning.  I’m sure we will still use it on the road on more dangerous hikes, but it’s nice to have him tackling some hikes on his own!  He’s getting so big!

1.  We spent the boys birthdays at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas.  I’ll dedicate a different blog post to our adventures but I have say now, we loved it so much!

2.  We also did a safari drive at Fossil Rim in Glen Rose.  Random fact about the Emu, they have zero respect for personal space. While I was looking at one on the drivers side I forgot my window was rolled down behind me. I felt watched and turned around. Close range. Birds are not my thing! Also, automatic windows do NOT go up fast enough! […]

photo of toddler chiropractic adjustent

Our financial struggles meant a lot of sacrifice in 2019.  One of those being chiropractic care.  It was a really hard thing for us to give up since when we were in a sticks and bricks home we went weekly!  We went over 4 months without adjustments, our longest stretch ever.  The kids have been begging to go and we were finally, FINALLY, able to make it happen.  Bring on happier kids and better sleep!  I am so thankful for The Joint, they make getting chiropractic care on the road and full time travel so much easier!  We can go to any location, scan our key cards […]
