New job means the freedom for new adventures! This crew is back and ready! We are excited for all the 2020 adventures ahead, I’ve already jumped in to planning. We haven’t been out on many adventures the last 4 months. We are SO excited to get back out there again. First up, hiking at Dinosaur Valley State Park!
Our new site has a tree trunk seat in the field surrounding us. It is the perfect place to escape when you’re a teenager with feral brothers everywhere. Ha! There was a time when she was all tutus, pink cowboys boots, pigtails and tea parties. But it doesn’t surprise us a bit that she’s skipping the typical teenage clothes obsession, makeup, being boy crazy, etc. I guess with four brothers it is a bit expected. We have a hunch that our RV is overweight again so Taryn, Jonah and I cleaned out our homeschool / game / art cabinet today. It didn’t take long for them to dive in to the watercolors. We should have made a trip to the storage unit since we are close by, but instead, we arted.
The weather was completely gorgeous today. At 5 pm we decided to have a fire pit dinner. Jude and I ran to the store for essential fire pit food, Jason’s brother picked up firewood on his way over. It was gorgeous outside but once the sun set it was pretty chilly, perfect night for a fire. I love the feeling of warm knees when the rest of your body is cold, roasting marshmallows and stargazing. It was a good end to a very chaotic and draining week.
You wouldn’t know it by our photos but we are currently staying on the lake. It’s gorgeous here. I have to remind myself to photograph it since we have been here a million times. Side effect of 2 years on the road I suppose. New places tend to be a bit more inspiring.
Taryn scooped up Zachary today and declared they were going outside to bathe the dogs. Bath day with Maggie is always an adventure. She has to catch and eat the water. Silly lab!
