365 Project: Back on the road!

Today is the day! We have hoped and prayed it would come and it’s here! We are officially heading out for year 3 on the road and we could not be more excited!!!

Z absolutely love the Cars movies. We’ve been driving past this Mater for months coming and going from the campground. I knew I had to stop and take his photo before leaving town.
Follow along as we visit Acadia National Park after a long month of sitting still due to Jonah’s broken arm. We visit Cadillac Mountain, attend a Ranger Hawk Watch and walk across Bar Island in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Jude dragged us to a nearby Audubon Center today. It was early, cold and wet but we were all good sports. We brought along our Osprey hiking backpack for Z but he didn’t even need it. I feel like he’s turned a corner with hiking and wants to do it all on his own instead of going along for the ride. Jason wore it empty all morning. I’m sure we will still use it on the road on more dangerous hikes, but it’s nice to have him tackling some hikes on his own! He’s getting so big!
1. We spent the boys birthdays at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas. I’ll dedicate a different blog post to our adventures but I have say now, we loved it so much!

2. We also did a safari drive at Fossil Rim in Glen Rose. Random fact about the Emu, they have zero respect for personal space. While I was looking at one on the drivers side I forgot my window was rolled down behind me. I felt watched and turned around. Close range. Birds are not my thing! Also, automatic windows do NOT go up fast enough! […]

Fajita week should totally be a thing. This is the 2nd time we have had fajitas in the last week and we totally cooked enough for tonight plus at least 2 more meals. That brings our fajita consumption to 4 meals lol. Don’t judge, they are soooooo good cooked on our blackstone grill with lime, onions and green, red, yellow and orange peppers. Served with avocado, black beans, violife vegan cheese on warm siete brand tortillas. Yum!
