We should buy land here

We are leaving west North Carolina this morning. The views, the mountains, the waterfalls and creeks, they stole our hearts and we’ve added this area to our “we should buy land here” list. It makes me even more excited to explore the western side of the smokies in Tennessee later this year. For now, we are off to enjoy Raleigh for a few weeks!
Best friends forever

Best friends forever. Through thick and thin, near or far, up or down, these kids have each other. The teens keep in touch so well I wondered if they’d find new things to talk about in person….they totally did! “Butt Butt”

2 years ago when Z started talking he’d call Putt Putt, “Butt Butt” and it stuck. He still takes Butt Butt very seriously 🤣
Mom tip

Mom pro tip: when they run up with a closed fist and sweetly say “Mom, guess what’s in my hand!!” DO. NOT. DO. IT. Instead, RUN!! 🤣😂 Spoiler alert: it was worms. After four boys I’ve also learned to decline when they say “Hey mom, smell my hand!” 😂👎🏼
Muddy puddles

It was a creek bed and muddy puddles kinda evening. We are thankful for a break in the rain on our last evening here. It’s been easy to pop in to the Smokey Mountains National Park just a few miles up the road. We head to Asheville with the RV tomorrow but Sunday we will drive to see the BFFs in Tennessee. It’s been way to long and my kids are beyond excited to see their besties!
