Merry Christmas to you and yours, from me and mine.

I’m most thankful today that this year has brought us great spiritual growth and a more personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus. This year we celebrate his birth, but also our loving relationship with him that has a new breath and life within our home and in our lives. On this day it’s easy for me to reflect back over the last year and see how much closer we have become to our Lord, how much more time we’ve spent in His word. Seeing my children thrive and take refuge in His loving grace is an amazing gift, today, and every day.

Jason and I have been married 10 years yesterday. It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since we said “I do” on the beaches of Hawaii at sunset. So much has happened in the last 10 years…3 more kids, 2 houses, one massive hurricane, Jude’s injury and recovery that changed so much about our lives. We took it all on together and I’m so thankful for having Jason in my life and all the blessings he brings to our family. I can’t imagine a single day without him.

1. The other night, while putting Jonah down, Jase left the room while saying “love you, buddy”. Only tonight Jonah returned with an “i love you, daddy”. Jase swung around, so excited and came back for another hug and a love. Sweetest moment ever.

2. It was a great end of the day since Jonah has taken to throwing everything he can get his hands on. It’s exhausting. And it hurts when whatever random item smacks you. Duder has a shiner right now thanks to Jonah and a remote control. He’s been to time out for the last two days, for the first time ever, and it’s just heartbreaking for him. Jonah has been talking so much. His vocabulary is just insane to me. This afternoon, he woke up from his nap and wanted to nurse for a few minutes. When he was ready to get up, he looked over at the rocking chair in my bedroom. Jase had left a pair of jeans flung over the edge with his belt still in the loops. Jonah immediately says…

“Daddy, where Daddy? I need to bring Daddy his pants.”

I told him Daddy wasn’t home, he was at the store.

“Daddy not home?? Daddy at the store?? WITHOUT HIS PANTS?!?!?”

I had to explain that Daddy was wearing pants at the store, just not *those* pants. All while cracking up. Funny kid.

Italian Stirfry

1 Yellow Pepper Julienne Cut
1 Green Pepper Julienne Cut
1 Red Pepper Julienne Cut
1 White or Yellow Onion Julienne Cut
1 Container of Mushrooms sliced
1 Can Black Olives
1 Jar Artichoke Hears cut in half
Handful of Cherry Tomatoes cut in half
3 Cloves of Garlic chopped
1 Pack Applegate Pepperoni cut up
Dash of salt
Dash of fresh ground black pepper
10-15 Leaves of Fresh Basil from my garden
1 Jar of Organic Roasted Garlic Salad Dressing
