365: Jude is 12!

12!  Can you believe it?!  I cannot.  He is one of the smartest people I have ever met.  He’s kind and filled with empathy.  He’s like a sponge absorbing everything around him.  He teaches me at least one new thing every single day.  Sometimes I wonder who is teaching who in this whole homeschool / roadschool thing.  I’ve decided that means Jason and I have done a good job since he has learned how to learn….isn’t that the whole point?!  To ignite a love and lifetime of learning?  That’s Jude, he loves learning, research and knowing lots of things!  If one of us can’t figure something out, he jumps in, […]

Sneak Peek: Sara & Family

photo collage of family photos in austin texas power plant

I’ve known Sara online for a really long time and I was so excited to get her and her beautiful family in front of my camera for the first time!  They were so much fun, my face hurt from smiling at the end of their session!  Plus, Topher brought along his trumpet for a few photos and I was treated to a performance.  It made me feel like I was at home in NOLA!

365: His perch

photo of zachary playing with toys on steps

His perch is quite possibly the most inconvenient, high traffic, spot to sit and play in our 420 square feet.  But he’s so cute sitting here playing with all his random favorites.  Today he carried them around in his hiking backpack and took them out here to inspect, play and imagine for a good 45 minutes.  Notice the TWO Buzz Lightyears and the random garlic peeler lol!

365: Today is the day!

photo of jason smiling at sunset

This guy is officially employed!  He received and accepted an offer for a job even more perfect than what we prayed for!  God had a plan that was so much bigger than ours!  Today has been a dream.  Good news, happy surprises and it felt like a two ton weight lifted off our shoulders.  So many happy tears today.  I love seeing Jason so happy, he is so excited about the work and company.  The last two years have been a rollercoaster.  Four months after launching in to full time travel, Jason was laid off through a reduction of force from a job he’d been at for […]
