teagan jude

I absolutely love his grey eyes.  And the new, single, freckle on his chin.  He asks me daily if it is “still there”.  I think this photograph draws me in because it’s a rare serious moment for our little comedian.  He’s always on the moving, talking, active, everywhere and trying hard to make everyone around him smile.

A lot of people have asked why we aren’t continuing on with T names for the new baby.  We knew that we wouldn’t.  And honestly, just didn’t feel a lot of pressure to.  Mostly because not all 3 of our kids go by T names anymore.  About a year ago, maybe a little less, Teagan […]

his name….and the home stretch

It occurred to me today that we hadn’t yet shared the name we’ve chosen for our baby boy.  We made a decision quite some time ago, I’m not sure why I haven’t shared yet.  Jonah Reid.  We love it.  We love him.  And we can’t wait to meet him.

This pregnancy has flown by.  It’s hard to believe we are sitting at 35+ weeks right now.  Out of all the kids, this pregnancy has, by far, been the easiest.  No sickness, less pain, just….easier.  Of course I’m to the point now where I am over the duration of this Texas heat, beyond uncomfortable and just ready to be done sharing my body.  […]

constant morphing house

Our house is constantly morphing.  We need and require so many things out of it.  It’s a constant struggle to find the space and make it work well.  Add in a new baby, a 7 year old who needed her own space and room, running three businesses out of it, a husband who works from home one day a week AND homeschooling….our house has a lot of requirements for it to function well with 5, almost 6, people.

A few months ago we decided I’d give up my dedicated office to give Taryn her own room.  She and Teagan have shared for a few years and it has been great.  But when both kids started homeschooling, that was suddenly a LOT […]

Carmen & Mathilde

Somehow we managed to squeeze this session in right before I take some time off for maternity leave and I’m SO glad we did.  Their session last year was one of my favorites and it was so fun to catch up with them again this morning.  Carmen, who is now 5, was full of smiles and fun this morning.  Mathilde, well, she likes to pretend she’s not amused by my antics and camera.  But I can tell, way deep down, she likes me 😉

family of 6 | austin lifestyle photographer

Duder drew this picture of what our family will look like once the baby arrives.  Our family of 6.  It cracks me up that Ty is the tall one with uber long legs.  I hugged Ty the other day and the top of my head suddenly fit under his chin.  When did that happen?!?!  Holy growth spurt Ty!
