365: Pudding
Jason bought pudding at the store yesterday. It is not something we eat often and Zachary has never had it before. He wasn’t sure he wanted it at first but after that first bite he was all in!
365: Austin Skyline
My view tonight from the interstate on my way home from a session. I hate driving at night. Jason was nice enough to drive me all the way to South Austin so that I wouldn’t have to drive home in the dark. Usually I would just take an Uber but we are staying out in the middle of nowhere way up north.
365: Broken Arm News
Jonah had a follow up today with his ortho. The original plan was to remove this plaster cast and put on a lighter fiberglass short arm cast at this point. Mostly so he would be able to bend his elbow. We arrived and they immediately jumped in to cast removal. Something in me knew we needed an x-ray first. Not their standard procedure but I insisted. 365: I snapped this and cried
Jude is almost 12 and we are in this window of time where things are changing. He’s not a little boy who plays as much as he used to. He still does, he joins in with the little boys sometimes, he plays imaginary games, like pretending with Z to kayak off a waterfall (see my Insta stories for that photo). 365: Kayaking on Lake Georgetown
Today was such a gorgeous day, it feels like spring here in Texas, not the dead of winter. Blue skies, 74 degrees and a cool breeze. Perfect! The kids and I spent the entire day outside. We only came in to eat so Jason could have a lot of quiet time for meetings, work and an interview. Once he was done for the day we threw dinner in the instant pot and hit the lake with the kayak my mom bought the kids last summer. She bought it right before Jonah broke his arm for the first time. 365: Memory
Zachary got a Marvel Memory Game for Christmas and he is obsessed with it. It helps that Jude asks him to play it (of his own free will – ha!) several times a day. Z is so good at it! I think Jude has only beat him one time in the last month! And yet there was still a little drama when he flipped over the wrong card this morning haha!
