Most of you know that when Teagan’s vaccine injury hit, our family was forced into many, many changes, pretty much over night. It was really overwhelming. I think back to that time and the memories make me feel like I can’t breathe. So, so hard. Because not only were we dealing with the scary vaccine reaction, trying to comfort his horrible amount of pain and screaming day after day after day, for months, we were suddenly faced with massive food changes, getting the toxins and junk out of our house, reducing the load on his liver any way that we could. His liver was so taxed by the vaccines that at one point, we feared a liver tumor. When you hear those words, it makes you look at every single thing in your home in a new way. We made massive changes at the most overwhelming time in our lives. Over the last year and half, we have received hundreds of emails with people asking us where to start in cleaning up their diets, their homes, their environment. “How did you do it? How did you get to this place of better wellness…and healing…and reduced toxicity…and better nutrition??”
People want to make better choices, most just don’t know where to start.
Enter 52 Choices.
52 Choices is a weekly challenge that you can join in. Each Sunday, a new choice will be posted along with resources, recommended reading, recommended viewing and an action plan on what to do to implement that choice in to your life, family and home. I’m so excited about this, I hope it will help many and bring change to those whose hearts are open to it. Do you have to do each one? No. Do you have to agree with each choice that we made? Nope. We do what is right for our family and you get to choose what is right for ours. We do ask that you be open to reading and researching and forming your own opinions on the subjects though. Want to skip a few? Go for it? Need longer than a week? No biggie, go at your own pace.
To kick off our new project, our first choice is to join in. Our second choice is to learn about GMO’s. My friend and food advocate, Robyn O’Brien, generously offered to giveaway a copy of her book, The Unhealthy Truth. So head on over to fiftytwochoices.com to join in and enter the giveaway. You can also follow 52 Choices on facebook.
We all make choices. Some big, some small. They add up. Each day, each week, each month, each year, each lifetime. This challenge is dedicated to making every choice, big and small, count. We can best accomplish that by making simple, conscious, educated choices to bring balance and wellness to our lives. We can’t do everything, but we can do something. Everyone, no matter how busy, how hectic, how stressed, has the ability to make one choice to better their days. One a week. We can do this. Join us.
I can’t wait to share this with my friends! Love, love, love it!
How do you do it? Really!?! Full time photographer, homeschooling SAH mom, the birth photography mentoring and now this. I think you must sleep very, very little, but I am in awe of all you accomplish!
haha Dorean, I have a VERY supportive husband. I wrote many of the choices ahead so that even if I fall behind with family and work, the challenges won’t suffer or be late.
Thank you for bringing awareness to what is put in our diets, unbeknownst to many. It’s so very important that people know and understand what they are doing to their bodies.
Great Idea, Lyndsay. I love how your challenges will help so many others along on their own journeys. A great way to pay it forward!
I am so excited about this! I have started to make lots of changes…but some days I feel like I have no idea what I am doing! I feel I am a pretty smart person, a speech language pathologist by day, but have to tell you that this nutrition stuff…it’s hard for me. The more I read, the more questions I have. I think this challenge is going to help give me the guidance I need to keep me going! Thank you so much for sharing with us what you have learned!
Can’t wait! We’ve been making changes in our house for a couple of years now but I am eager to learn and do more. Thanks for getting this going!
🙂 Heather
