Dare I say it?  We seem to have hit a good groove with homeschool.  Taryn is working hard and consistently, thriving with our new curriculum.  Jude hit the ground running and sped off!  Ha!  He’s been in kindergarten for 6 full weeks and is ahead in most of his subjects.  I’m definitely going to be supplementing with more art and subjects of his choosing very soon.  The great news is that after just a few weeks, he’s starting to read!  So thrilling!  So, since all 3 of us are happy with our new curriculum and thriving, I thought I’d come share a few of my favorite homechool things!

First, we are LOVING  the […]

1.  First!  OMG!  Look at this!  I am in love with this one.  This never happens.  They were so good to me….

2.  I sat down at my laptop just now and thought….I should do a 10 on Tuesday post….but it’s not Tuesday.  That’s ok, I’ll do it even though it isn’t Tuesday.  Oh wait.  Yes, it is.  Does this tell you how my week is going?

3.  I’m having contact lens issues and have had an on again off again eye infection for going on 2 weeks.  I’m so over it.  I can’t see well and just when i think I’ve kicked it, the stupid thing comes back full force.  I finally ordered […]

My sweet Jude turned 5 in February.  How is it that 5 years have passed since this sweet, kind hearted, loving boy, entered my life?!  I can honestly say that he’s the sole person who has changed me more as a mother and as a person than anyone.  I’m so thankful for him.  I’m beyond thankful he’s healthy and strong. His sweet little spirit makes me smile every single day.  He rolls with the punches and takes on change with ease.  He loves Legos to the extreme, he’s always building and imagining and creating something.  He is always bringing me his next creation for feedback and praise.  If you say the […]

1.  My baby boy turns 5 months old tomorrow.  Huh?!  What?!  How can that be?!  I’d swear he was just born yesterday.  But then again, I can’t remember what this family was even like without him here.  He fits in so seamlessly.

2.  Speaking of Jonah’s birth, our birth photographer, Leilani, and I bartered and she decided she wanted a love light night session in exchange for Jonah’s birth photos.  She captured one of the biggest and best days of my life so beautifully, she can have whatever type of session she wants!  So even though I’ve said I’m not doing any Love Light Night Sessions until Jonah is older, I’m doing 2, one for Leilani and one open […]

Have you ever seen this?

The first time I saw it my very first thought was “Oh my, that is sooooooo Taryn”.  Living, breathing proof below!  Ha!  I caught this over the course of about 5 minutes.  I was laying on the floor in Jude’s room photographing Jonah and every so often I’d turn and snap a shot of T quietly reading her book in the hallway.  She didn’t notice till the end.  My funny girl, you make me laugh.

1.  I can’t believe Christmas has come and gone.  It’s been SO crazy around here.  Just adding the holidays to every day life with 4 kids, several businesses, homeschooling, etc. and it feels like life is a tornado some days.  I think this year was really different because I normally don’t work in December as I’m wrapping up busy season.  This year I did and man did the holiday sneak up on me!  Thank goodness for amazon prime and fast shipping on Christmas gifts for my kids.  Doing the whole 4 gifts thing again this year totally saved me too and made things much easier.  Want, Wear, Need, Read…..I love you!  Thankfully once Christmas arrived we slowed down and it […]
