I did a bad thing.

But….it was in the name of love. So that makes it ok. At least I hope so.

I lied to my client.

One of my favorite clients. One that I adore.

I did a maternity and newborn session with them last year. And Emily had contacted me about doing another session with their family. I was literally, moments away from emailing her back when my phone rang. It was her husband….he had an idea….a plan. Five minutes later and we would have missed the opportunity to form a plan. Peeking in…..

Thank you all for the warm wishes, thoughts and prayers for Teagan. His surgery went well and he is recovering quickly! So much so that I was able to leave him in Jason’s capable hands for a few hours today to shoot a few sessions as planned (5 in 3 days!). The plan was to shoot if he was well enough, and he is, and then return to normal working, proofing, catching up on emails, etc. on Monday. But since he’s sleeping I thought I’d post a few sneak peeks for my amazingly understanding, flexible, thoughtful, rocking clients. Seriously, I have THE best clients anyone could ever ask for!

I have a soft spot in my heart for families of 5 with 3 little kiddos. And this momma, wow, this momma has it all under control and makes it look easy with 3, 2 & under. Yes, you read that right. And she’s cool, calm & collected. And even sane! If raising 3 little ones wasn’t enough, she also raises money for the March of Dimes. I’m telling you, she’s hiding a super mom cape under there somewhere, I just know it….

I got called in for a birth last weekend so the lovely little miss belle’s newborn session got bumped. But I got to go hang out with them for a bit today and she was a total rock star for her session. I think she likes the camera 😉 It was so nice to be shooting outside, spring has officially hit Austin….

Right after I snapped that shot, her momma said “that’s the announcement” and I said “that’s the sneak peek” 😉 Sometimes, you just know, and we both did right away! HA!

I simply cannot think of a better way to start the morning than a mommy & me session first thing. And I LOVE the idea of doing a 3 month mini with just Mommy!! Great idea Julie! I was so excited when one of my favorite families booked a spring session. I first saw them last year when their littlest guy was brand new. That session resulted in one of my favorite mommy/baby photos of all time. Today, again, we battled the wind but we got some great shots. Just two faves for now….can you believe how big the boys have gotten?!

That little newborn grew into a little boy, he just celebrated his first birthday. I love love love how he growls when he smiles and gets excited, cracked me up, so funny! Little boys rock. Happy Birthday little man….
