Last year, Father’s Day ’08.  Teagan was 4 months old.

And oh what a year it has been.  What a difference a mere 365 days makes.  Father’s Day ’09….

What a chunk.  I’m kind of proud of that, how much he’s grown, having nursed him for the last year.  On the brink of weaning, I can look at him and say, I helped grow that.  Crazy.  We really had no intention of ever redoing this shot, but today, just before dinner we were bored and decided to give it a whirl just so we could compare and see how much he’s changed.  I dug […]

1.  Tomorrow is Ty’s last day of elementary school ever.  Yesterday we went to his end of 5th grade award ceremony and it was bittersweet.  He got 5 awards including being voted as a “promise keeper” by his peers.  The little kids and I went and had lunch with him before the awards and I got to meet Ty’s girlfriend.  I was pleasantly surprised when she walked right up to the lunch table, put her hand out to shake mine and introduced herself.  She sat across from me and we chatted, super sweet kid.  I am still not ready for this phase to begin, but I like her more than I thought I would.  I certainly didn’t have that confidence, […]

I last saw them at Christmas and they are all just as adorable as ever (and all 3 look way taller too!).  They are seriously the most polite, well mannered and loving kids.  Did I mention beautiful too?

So happy to have caught that one.  As a momma of 3, I know how hard it is to catch all 3 in one photo annnnnd looking happy!  Score!!

I had a reeeealllly hard time picking photos for your sneak peek.  I know she looks all hip and girlie here, but the reality is she took a quick pause from digging in the pile of dirt in front of her to look up at […]

sass.  that word alone sums her up here recently.  the other day in Target she was demanding this and that and I kept reminding her to talk politely, say please, etc.  finally, she looks at me, exasperated, and says “Mommy, I’m all out of pleases today!”.  I told her then I was all out of “yes’s”.  she proceeded to scowl at me for a bit, but got over it.  she’s always thinking, the wheels are always turning and some days i feel like i just can’t keep up with her and her constant antics.  when people ask me about the differences between parenting the boys vs. my girl, i always easily reply “my girl is twice as much work as […]
