I can’t believe it, but Addison is 1! My first session with Addison was when she was 3 months old, where has the time gone? My business was brand new back then and Addison was the first 3 month old I photographed. This is my favorite part of my job, getting to watch the children I photograph grow up. Only the single most famous baby on the nest! I think little Jayden was the most anticipated baby ever! He was sooooo good today for his 3 month session and I can’t believe how big (and how strong) he is! If you don’t know who Jayden is, you can read his parents inspirational story here and you can read about him and see his newborn pictures here, here and here. Being around him, I can still sense what a miracle he is. It’s such an amazing thing to see how totally in love his Mommy and Daddy are with him. This look says “Mommy, go away”….and in her tutu and bathing suit no less. She dressed herself. Well, she brought me the bathing suit from her room, and then about 30 minutes later starting banging on the door to our extra bedroom where I keep all my props, “tututututututu”. Granted, this is the 4th outfit she requested before noon. Is there anything better than watching Teletubbies in a tutu though? Yeah, if your mommy would just get that camera out of your face so you could enjoy it in peace! Jeesh!! Oh and I have to add that I used the speedlight for this shot in my living room. I see you! My handsome husband makes his photography debut! He actually picked up the 5D and managed to capture Taryn and I with her most favorite book. I’ve lost 23 lbs and am starting to toy with the idea of being on the other side of the camera every now and then. Baby steps right?

The LRA Grant Program states that they don’t expect us to fix our home ourselves, it can be contracted out. But if we did do work ourselves, we are allowed to pay ourselves back for labor costs. This means we got some money for all those long hours Jason put in working on the house doing so much of it himself and I got some for all those hours of painting too. We decided to most of that money towards clothes for everyone, we need them so badly. I did a ton of shopping for the kids online and the first box arrived yesterday from Gymboree for Taryn. It’s imperfect in almost every technical aspect, and yet to me, it’s perfect in every way.

I’m so excited! One of my photographs has been chosen to appear on the front page of the newly designed Heart to Heart Studios jewelry website. And even better, it features both of my kiddos 🙂 The owner of H2H asked me to take a few shots of the jewelry I ordered as Christmas gifts, here are all the images I submitted if you wonna take a peek. Jason usually gets up before I do to get ready for work. If the baby is awake in her crib he will go get her and bring her into bed with me to play while he finishes getting ready. I woke up this morning to the sound of Taryn playing “piggies” with her baby doll next to me. She points to the big toe and says “market”….”lalalalala” for the next three toes and then a big “WEWEWEWEWE” for the last piggie as she tickles her babies cheeks. I love that. I’m scraping the bottom of my barrel, I had to go dig through my archives to find a few pictures to post. I still don’t have my laptop back. They said it would only take 2 days and it’s been a week.
