CURRENTLY WANDERING

Hi! We are a God loving family: Jason, Lyndsay, Ty, Taryn, Jude, Jonah and Zachary. In 2017 we sold our 2,400 square home in Leander, Texas, along with most of our belongings and bought a 400 square foot fifth wheel RV to hit the road and travel full time with 4 of our 5 kids and 2 dogs (Maggie and Pepper). We longed for a more simple life with less stuff and more adventure. Our goal is to eventually visit all 50 states! Our bucket list is long and we love adventure, hiking and national parks! Lyndsay is a professional family travel photographer and loves capturing all their family adventures. We hope you’ll follow along on our journey!

WHERE TO NEXT?

We left Texas late 2017 and went to Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. In 2018 we hit the southwest, west coast and pacific northwest before looping back down to Texas for the fall and winter. In 2019 we meandered up the east coast, jumping up to Michigan and across to Maine before heading back to Texas for winter. 2020 landed us quarantining in Alabama before heading out Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Winter in 2020 took us to Texas, Alabama and Florida, including the Keys. 2021 we hopped around the east coast. 2022 was spent in Utah, Oregon, and Washington before we did the “wiggle down the middle” through the midwest. We visited our 48th state in early 2023! We spent 2023 on the East coast including Pennsylvania, Maine, Massachusetts and North Carolina. 2024 brought us back to the west, Taryn graduated high school in Moab, was an extra on The Chosen TV series and we spent our summer in Colorado where she was an intern learning how to farm. In 2025 we are headed to Washington state to serve the church.

I know I must sound like a broken record, but I just can’t help it.

I adore her. From the time she was in her mommy’s tummy, to her birth, her 2 month shots and now, already 6 months old, sweet baby Calla. She steals my heart every time…. She stole Taryn’s heart tonight too. She talked more about Calla on the way home than she did the hot dogs we all had for dinner, she’s smitten, for sure. Thanks Tuckers for inviting our clan (sans Ty) over for dinner, it was great to visit with you guys!

Ty is gone + Teagan can’t get up and play + Daddy is working a lot + Mommy had oral surgery and doesn’t feel good = one super bored Little T. She’s still cute though… Don’t ya think??

Trash The Dress

I cannot even tell y’all how much fun this was. It took a lot of planning and before I share a few faves, I have to thank MC, Amanda and Anne-Marie for assisting with everything from shooting, to carrying stuff, to hauling wet dresses and even keeping one eye on security (you’ll see why later). Thanks girls….you guys rock!! I’ve only started thumbing through them… A cracks me up – she showed up driving in her dress, hair in pigtails and sportin some shades. Love it!!! Rounded Corners

I love rounded corners and I finally got around to creating a little photoshop action…. A couple of things to note: Full versions of PS only, sorry elements users. Your image must be sized at 8×12 (or 12×8) before you run the action for it to work properly. Two actions are included, one for horizontal images and one for vertical. Love his sweet little face. We had our nest baby photo shoot this morning and during the session I figured out why the dude loves eye contact with the camera so much. I noticed while bing photographed, that I could see our reflection in the lens. He’s just gazing at the cute little mug looking back at him LOL! I can’t blame him one bit, I could gaze at this sweet little face all day long. Ty leaves on a plane by himself tonight. I’m sad. He’s excited. What in the world am I going to do without him for two entire weeks??

crazy. busy.

This week has been. Haven’t picked up my camera much at all. This weekend though, it’ll get a workout. Trash the dress. I don’t do weddings. Ok, so I could totally be talked into doing a destination wedding. But trash the dress sounded like fun to me!! 5 models, 3 assistants and lots of fun, I can’t wait!!! I’m about to load up the kids and head out the door to scout a location I got permission to use. Really excited about the location, it’s different for me. Ty heads out tomorrow to visit my Mom. Thank you for all the blog love for the image on the new blog header. I just adore them both and I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to have an image in my mind for weeks and then actually create it exactly as I imagined. I love it, I love them. Ever. Quiet = Bad Quiet = Up to no good Quiet = Brace Yourself Never. Ever. Ever. Our house was a little busy this morning because I had to get 3 kids up and out in time for Teagan’s 4 month checkup at the pediatrician. Ty and I were in my bedroom this morning, I had just finished nursing Teagan and walked in there to sit on the bed to burp him. Ty and I were cooing with Teagan and just chatting. Last night Ty and I scarfed down our dinner and then ran out the door to catch the last little bit of sunlight. We decided to go down to the river run, I’ve wanted to see how difficult this was to get to since we moved, and it was amazingly easy. I could easily get Taryn down there too. She’d love the little waterfalls and watching the fish swim. Already. He’s my sweet little man. The drooler, the blower of bubbles, the mohawk sporting, big belly laughing at everyone except Ty, little man. Piggies are such fascinating little things…
