1. First up, I miss my daily blogging. It’s my therapy. Must find a way to get back to it. Busy season, is indeed, busy! But busy is good, except for my blog.

his first halloween. i’m so jealous of all the amazing pumpkin patch photos i’ve been seeing everyone take and share. it just wasn’t in the cards for us this year. yeah, we made it to the pumpkin patch, but it was hot, miserable and dusty. taryn was wired and yelled in the car during the whole hour drive there, ty pouted once we got there, the hayride was pretty bad and lead to nowhere, then teagan cried the whole way home. i think the idealistic, family tradition, beautiful fall trip to the patch has eluded us, and with it, the photos. i did catch a few but they are still […]

he’s obsessed with door stops. it cracks us up….he’ll be crawling along and catch a glimpse of one, stops, you can see the wheels turning, thinks and than attacks with gusto. booooooooiiiiiinnnnggggggg. funny little dude.

and because i haven’t been posting many of my own children….his smile steals my heart every time….

Today we celebrated his 31st birthday. I met him when he was 24. We were next door neighbors. I still remember the first moment I saw him, I was standing in my living room and he walked out his front door towards his truck. I just stood there, and watched him. I’m not sure why, but I just remember taking the scene in. A few weeks later I introduced myself. A few weeks after that we became friends. Quite a few months after that we fell in love. I always wonder what he dreams about. Milk? Playing with this brother and sister? Chasing Kylie the dog? I love it when he smiles and laughs in his sleep. I was watching him do it the other day and it occurred to me that I don’t have very many sleeping photos of him now that he’s a bit older. I have lots when he was tiny, cause it wouldn’t wake him up. And, well, when you’re the mother of 3 (or 1 for that matter!), sleeping children are precious for your sanity…you don’t disturb it!
