Teagan Jude has been on a roll here lately.

  • A few days ago he ran up to me, hugged the belly and said “This is so great Mommy, hugging you is 2 for 1!”  I pretty much melted right there.  I adore how much the kids love their baby brother already.  They talk to him and tell him daily, especially Teagan.
  • Yesterday we stopped at Target and I wanted to purchase a few nursing tanks.  As we headed to that department Teagan yells out at the highest decibel known to 4 year olds, “OH!  We are in the BOOOOOOOB department!!!”.  Thank the Lord I’d sent Ty off in search of something else for me, he would have been mortified. Taryn and I, […]

We have been without cable for a few years now.  I miss being able to watch football.  A lot.  With the Saints preseason starting in just one week, I’ve been smoozing my husband in an attempt to sign up for Direct TV while they have a special for a free NFL Ticket.  I *think* it might be working.  Funny how it is somehow easier for him to say yes to things when I’m in the 3rd trimester in miserable Texas heat.  Unfortunately for Ty, my yes mechanism seems to be broken.

Ty:  Can I have a cable box in my room?
Me:  NO.  NO.  Uh, NO.  Not on your life.  The first time you will have cable in your room is when […]

We are so excited about the Olympics this year.  I am ready to plant my butt in the AC and watch as many events as I possibly can.  In order to accomplish this level of do nothingness, I needed to get the kids excited about the Olympics too.  Insert learning moment.  This is what I love about homeschool, we can create a lesson on just about anything.  So we did just that!

This is all just totally thrown together and not even super organized, but it has been fun.  And now the kids are all excited for opening ceremonies tonight, score!

I started off by downloading this free pdf that explains what the Olympics are, the history, the meaning, the basics.  […]

After trying really hard to live and sleep without a pregnancy pillow this time around, my sweet husband took mercy on me around my birthday and bought me a snoogle.  I tried hard, $80 for a bunch of cotton seems ridiculous.  Until you really figure you are paying $80 for sleep.  Precious sleep, totally worth every penny.  Especially when it is a gift I don’t have to feel guilty spending money on.  I just get to enjoy it.  Or I try….that $80 piece of cotton proves to need defending.  Every time I turn around, this little one is attempting to take it over.  Taryn loves to make it in to a nest, Teagan loves to snuggle up in it, Jase […]

1.  I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about birth photography mentoring asking if it is still open to new members.  YES!  Birth photography mentoring through The Birth Experience is open!  If you are a professional photographer and interested in birth photography, we’d love to have you join us!

2.  During equine therapy this morning, Taryn was thrown from a horse.  She’s fine, but it really shook her up.  They put her right back on, which is a good thing.  Thankfully she wasn’t hurt.  She fell on her arm, hand and hit her head (she had a helmet on).  We’ll make an extra trip to the chiropractor and give her some arnica if she’s sore.  I know we will […]
