every now and then taryn will run up to me while i’m at the computer and ask to watch a ‘movie’ which means she wants to watch a slideshow. sometimes she likes to watch client ones and sometimes family ones. we watched a few and taryn, teagan and I laughed and giggled and talked about what photos we liked. then i clicked on teagan’s first year slideshow and it made me all nostalgic and weepy. especially because i realized i haven’t been taking very many photos of just every day stuff here lately. don’t get me wrong, i have over 1500 family photos to proof from this month alone since […]

I was wrapping up work for the night and went to go check on the kids one last time before heading to bed myself. As I rounded the corner in the hall, I noticed Taryn’s light was on and the door open. Not that strange since she’ll sometimes get up to go to the bathroom then head straight back to bed and go to sleep (most of the time anyway). Then I heard the rustling of paper. When I landed at her door I was shocked to see she was sitting on her bed, feet propped up, wide awake, reading.

new blog & faq

I started having problems with my blog about a month ago, it started with having problems uploading images. Then links. And then last night it didn’t want to post. I’m almost certain it’s because I was running an ancient version of wordpress. I knew it was time to update it all BUT I hadn’t backed up my blog in, ((hanging head in shame)), well, EVER. Today was the day to make it right and while the update required I back up and then delete everything (made me uber nervous), it went great. Thanks for all the emails letting me know my blog is going crazy this afternoon. Actually, the blog is going through some much needed (and slightly nail biting) maintenance this afternoon. Ty started Middle School today. Yeah, 6th grade.

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??!!

No. Seriously. I need an answer because just the other day he was 4 and thought I hung the moon AND the stars. Somewhere in between I went from a sweet “mommy” to “mawwm”….drawn out, exasperated with a tint of “oh no, please don’t embarrass me in this moment”.

Here he is on the way out the door. Totally not posed, he just always seems to have a book in his hand, especially when heading out to the car!

Looking at this photo just now, totally reminded me of this. It’s still funny two years later.

just one this morning of sweet baby jack. he got all dressed up for the tea party last night too.

Can you believe he’s 6 weeks old already?! His little comb over hair totally cracks me up. And this reminds me that I never came back and shared more of his newborn photos before we left for vacation! I will do that this week!! I have a ton to share!
