Life in Motion Photography: 2009, a look back | austin family photographer lyndsay stradtner

I am opting out of my usual top 10 this year.  Instead I chose a favorite image of each of the kids.  I realize how they have grown and changed.  For Ty, it was the year he grew (and ATE!), the year he became a better friend, read about 700 pages per week, entered middle school, got his first girlfriend and a cell phone.  He learned about bullies, about the importance of choosing good friends, about being a better friend.  He is thoughtful, and kind.  He loves a good, long hug and time away just for him with either of us.  He’s loud and rowdy and so much fun.  2010 will bring him to an official teenager.  The phone will […]

Life in Motion Photography: a few new openings | austin family & child photographer

My schedule for the next few weeks got all flipped around due to some family schedule changes.  I now have 3 openings for full sessions between now and the first week of February.  Established clients if you’d like a mini, we can make that work too!  As a special incentive for these 3 spots, if you book one, you’ll receive one of the new 2010 Life in Motion Photography, at a glance, custom designed calendars featuring photos from your session for free.

After these 3 spots fill up, I’m booked until the end of April (excluding newborns, I always do my best to make room for newborns).  I also have a few birth openings left for 2010.  If you are interested, […]

Life in Motion Photography: 10 on Tuesday | Austin Photographer

I’ve been hiding out, working like a crazy person to get caught up and try to mark off about a million things on my todo list for this month.  I’m working on a lot of back end stuff for our business and it means I’m struggling with work/family balance (again).   The 3 am bedtimes over the last week have gotten to me.  Poking my head out to do a quick 10 on Tuesday…..

1.  I was going through some client files last night proofing and came across a bunch of personal photos that were on the same card I’d totally forgot where there.  Sometimes, if I am early to a session or have a few extra minutes, I’ll stop along the […]

i guess it bears repeating | austin photographer

I’m feeling very fed up and frustrated right now.  I’ve found over a dozen thieves in the last several months, yet I’ve kept quiet.  3 just this weekend, including my copyright statement (really?!?!) and my entire birth site (wording, not images).  It is NOT ok to take wording off my website, pose as a client to get my information and use it as your own or use any of the text or images off of this blog or my website.  BE YOURSELF.  Especially, if you are local.

Thinking of stealing from me?  Read this first:  When is enough, enough?
