the heart of texas | austin family photographer

I have a soft spot in my heart for families of 5 with 3 little kiddos.  And this momma, wow, this momma has it all under control and makes it look easy with 3, 2 & under.  Yes, you read that right.  And she’s cool, calm & collected.  And even sane!  If raising 3 little ones wasn’t enough, she also raises money for the March of Dimes.  I’m telling you, she’s hiding a super mom cape under there somewhere, I just know it….

And these two little cuties, Mason & Wyatt, are just the happiest little guys ever.  AND, get this!  Just today, they found out that they landed a part […]

a case of the mondays | austin child photographer

Oh this makes me laugh.  This shot was totally unprompted, I just happened to have my camera in hand when I rounded the corner and found her like this.  Homegirl has been getting up at the crack of dawn, sneaking across the house and swiping my iphone off my nightstand.  She then proceeds to hide in her closet with the door closed and play games on it.  How do we know this you ask?  Jase woke me up the other morning stating he couldn’t find Taryn anywhere.  We knew she was in the house because the alarm was on.  Once found, she looked annoyed we’d interrupted her.  Whatev.  Soooo, now she’s […]

you think you’ll never forget….

But you do.  I was just cleaning out a box in our closet because we are having our bedroom painted in two weeks and it’s going to take us that long to clean it out and get it ready.  At the very bottom of the box was a paper, neatly folded.  I almost cried when I opened it up.  I had forgotten all about this….all about the time my first baby lost his first tooth….and it was quite a story.  How could I forget?!  Oh how I wish I had blogged back then.  I could revisit those moments any time I want, the ones I never thought I’d forget, but have.  Ty lost his first tooth and it came out […]

1.  I tried hard to pretend today that we weren’t preparing for surgery for our baby on the second Easter in a row.  It got to me, no matter how much I tried not to let it.  Having children with health problems is hard.  And those problems don’t go away on holidays.  Teagan’s surgery this week will be one year to the day of his surgery last year.

2.  We did manage to do a few fun things with the kids, we died eggs, did an egg hunt in the front yard and we made our annual bunny cake…..I used to make this with my mom when I was a little girl…..

Ty […]

lovely little belle | austin newborn photographer

I got called in for a birth last weekend so the lovely little miss belle’s newborn session got bumped.  But I got to go hang out with them for a bit today and she was a total rock star for her session.  I think she likes the camera 😉  It was so nice to be shooting outside, spring has officially hit Austin….

Right after I snapped that shot, her momma said “that’s the announcement” and I said “that’s the sneak peek” 😉  Sometimes, you just know, and we both did right away!  HA!

Congrats again Pam & Chris, and thanks for the laughs, […]

mommy & me | leander baby photographer

I simply cannot think of a better way to start the morning than a mommy & me session first thing. And I LOVE the idea of doing a 3 month mini with just Mommy!!  Great idea Julie!  And I love everything about this, their expressions, the light, his little toes peeking out at the bottom, his chubby little wrists….everything….

I know it must seem like he was born yesterday (it does to me!) since I just got around to posting his birth a few days ago, but Noah is already a chubby, happy 3 month old!  Julie, it was so great to see you two this morning, it always feels like […]
