Hide and seek has been big around here.  Jonah loves to play but isn’t so good at it.  He will yell “COME FIND ME!  HERE I AM!” then crack up laughing with a big cackle.  He can’t stay still or hide long at all, it’s hilarious.  Jude on the other hand, can play a kick butt game of hide and seek.  He is so quiet, so sneaky and very patient.  More than once we all give up because we can’t find him.  He’ll continue to wait us out, without moving a muscle.  He is seriously, so good.  Yesterday I spotted him trying to wrangle his body in to the cubby to hide. January 365 Leftovers | Personal

I’m proud to have made it a full month with my 365.  And even if I fall off the wagon at some point, I know the images I captured of our every day life will be so precious to me.  I actually had a lot that landed in my leftovers bin that I just couldn’t imagine not sharing.  So many little moments that bring me to who these people are, the love and laughter within these four walls.  January leftovers that didn’t make it in to the official 365….

It made my heart happy to see these 3 again.  I first met Danielle, Lexi and Austin in 2009 when I photographed them in downtown Austin along with Alex as part of a charity session.  If you have been around here for awhile, you’ll remember Alex, his slideshow has made the rounds through the years.  Sadly, he lost his battle with cancer 4 years ago.  While we’ve kept in touch from time to time over email and facebook, I haven’t seen Danielle and the kids since Alex’s services.  My heart was overjoyed when she contacted me and said they’d be visiting Austin.  I was excited to capture them again, even though I […]
