About Lyndsay Stradtner

Lyndsay Stradtner and I am a natural light photographer with 14 years experience. While home is Austin, Texas, my family and I are currently traveling the US in an RV full time. Yes, we sold our 2,400 square foot home for a 400 square foot RV and couldn’t be happier about it! While our initial goal was to travel full time for one year, that quickly turned in to (at least) 3 years. I am married to a really great guy named Jason. With 5 kids (Ty, Taryn, Jude, Jonah and Zachary) and 2 dogs (Maggie and Pepper), our lives are filled with laughter and chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! It seems like just yesterday I met this wonderful family but it’s been a few years already! I photographed the birth of their daughter, Izzy and I was beyond thrilled when they contacted me to photograph the birth of their 3rd child as well. Parenting teenagers is hard. 14 can be painful, for us and for him. It’s a time of self discovery, learning the ways of the world, figuring things out. The challenges are bigger, the lessons stronger, the disappointments more painful. I am thankful for who he is, and all that he’s learning. I’m thankful he doesn’t take everything at face value, that he soaks it all in and forms his own valuable opinions. His views and opinions can be vastly different than many his age, because he’s been through a lot in his first 14 years. I’m struggling with which blog I should post this on, this one, or finding our new normal. I suppose it belongs on both.

Duder is excited. SO excited. About school and especially his Lightning McQueen backpack. I am SO not a character clothing mom. In fact, I cringe each time my kids wear things like this.
