I love these photos of Jonah and Jason.  Zachary isn’t nearly as cooperative as Jonah was when it comes to photos.  So I’m super thankful to have caught this one of two of my loves.  Jason is such an amazing husband, partner in life, father.  He’s been my rock the last week plus.  He has been on top of everything around here all while caring for me as I recover from a very difficult and traumatic birth experience and surgery.  Not just physically, but emotionally, as we all begin to process.

I can’t believe it’s been a week already.  Why are these early days so long when they go by so quickly?  My mom bought this amazing blanket for Zachary and I absolutely love it.  It’s so soft!  I’m really glad I took this photo when I did because that night his cord stump got stuck in his sleeper zipper and it popped off.  A little before it was ready and I felt so bad when he let out a little whimper.  Ugh, mommy guilt.  I’m sorry buddy!
