Jude said grace tonight.  His prayers are usually my favorite.  He thanks God for the simple things, like my smile, and I can feel him pausing to peek over at me to see if I’m smiling in response.  He’s just the sweetest.  For awhile, he was even throwing in requests for a snow day real quick right before his Amen.  Without guidance, one day a few weeks ago, my children started holding hands during grace at dinner.  Talk about making my heart swoon.

Duder reading before bed tonight.  The constant fort building in the middle of the living room was fun, but after day 5, it was driving me crazy because we had nowhere to sit.  Jase is awesome and built Taryn and Jude forts over their beds.  They were thrilled and I have my living room furniture back.  Win, win.

Look mom two hands!  This guy will be 6 weeks post-op tomorrow and that means no more sling!  I think he’d burn it if I’d let him, he is so tired of it!  He’s lost a lot of muscle on that side and PT is going well.  Slow progress but steady.  We hope he will be driving again within the next couple of weeks.  He’s my go’er and my do’er…it’s been hard for him to be homebound more and limited in his activity.  His surgeon and physical therapist swear with lots of therapy and hard work he will be able to do unlimited pull-ups with his new shiny shoulder by spring.

He will do any job if it means he gets to use the water bottle sprayer.  Cute little squirt.  And see that sunshine?!  So, so nice here today.  60 degree and the sun came out for the first time in weeks, it was glorious to get outside and soak it up.

We’ve spent the last 2 weeks purging our house.  We have too much and it was time to clean out.  Today we tackled the kids playroom / classroom.  School starts is just over a week for us (we homeschool from January to September).  That little cheese face cutie up there will be joining in on the school fun this year with his own early pre-school.  In addition to purging, I’ve been lesson planning like a crazy person.  From farm animals to physics, our age gaps keep it interesting.  After a big purge in the classroom today we will start pre-k, 2nd grade, 4th grade and 11th grade in about a week!  Two […]
