365 Project: Magnolia Views

Our dining room view. We are parked in my moms driveway during quarantine and her property is lined with magnolia trees. We are thankful for the beautiful view out our big windows. I wish magnolia flowers lasted for than 1-2 days though. We’ve been lucky to have a few new ones each day during the last month.

In memory of Sophie, Aaron & Buddy. This morning Jude burst in the RV devastated to have found all 3 birds deceased. I don’t know that I will ever forget the broken look of devastation on his face. These kids poured their entire life in to these birds over the last 2 weeks, researching, caring for and loving them. They went from very frail and sick to thriving, learning to hunt on their own and fly. We were so close to being ready to release them. 365 Project: Ruthless Ruby

Don’t let the one on the right fool you.  She only looks sweet.  She’s earned her new nickname of “Ruthless Ruby” by bring killing a bird, a rat and two squirrels in the last few weeks.  3 of which she brought (dead thank God!) in to the house.  My mom is going to miss Jason when we leave since he’s been on body removal duty.

Also, I love my mom’s porch.
