Meet Courtney – isn’t she gorgeous?!  Pretty and the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet.  My portfolio is seriously lacking teenagers so I was thrilled when I got the call to photograph Courtney.  It was truly an honor, as her parents are also in the photography business in Georgia. I am loving this location too…..I used it once before with little Ethan and it’s just perfect for teens.  This time I shot at dusk so everything had a pretty golden glow to it, the weather was perfect!  It’s a gold mine, Tulane University, Loyola and the gorgeous church are right next door with Audubon Park and Zoo right across the street.  And of course St. Charles Avenue is filled with photo […]

insanity

2007-04-19T18:39:34-05:00April 19th, 2007|Uncategorized|

I’ve posted this picture of Ty before but today, it just fits.  You know your family is nuts when you husband has to call in to work and his excuse for being late is that his family is completely and totally insane.  Seriously, that’s what he said!  LOL!! First, let me start with last night.  Ty decided to play a pracctical joke on us.  He left for date night with my mom and Jase and I took little T out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (she thought all the stuffed deer on the walls were doggies – that oughta put her in therapy!).  We got home and were stuffed so Jase went to put on some sleeping pants.  He walked […]

I’ve been on a black and white kick lately…

We know that cloning is illegal, sure hope you guys don’t turn us in!! I’m always wishing I could get great bath time shots with Taryn, but with an unfinished bathroom, it just never works.  Exposed sheetrock isn’t pretty.  I finally got a couple I like though… And finally, the bubble man.  I broke down and bought the big bottle and that sucker is heavy.  Blowing bubbles are our house is now a pretty decent arm workout =)  Our arms get tired before we run out of hot air!  Which is saying a lot around here!!! LOL I haven’t touched my camera in almost a week.  I have over 800 personal pics to proof.  I’ve never been that far behind!  […]

photo displays made easy

2007-04-17T23:01:24-05:00April 17th, 2007|Uncategorized|

Ok, so if you guys check out the post below of our wall display, it looks simple enough but I can’t tell you how many HOURS upon HOURS it took us. In the end, after measuring and working and measuring some more for WEEKS, I ended up going to the frame store, staked out an area on their big counter and spent at least another hour playing and arranging. I’m happy with the arrangement, but it took FOREVER! I would love to help my clients with wall displays, but I seriously cannot imagine doing this for a client with ease and efficiency. So check this out, fellow professional photographer, Jamie Schultz just released some new templates to make it easy! […]

whole lotta stalking going on…

of the UPS man that is.  This month alone I’ve ordered 7 canvas prints.  Several for me, one for my mom and several for clients.  It’s like Christmas morning every time that big brown truck pulls up.  And he’ll be here again tomorrow – wahoo!! We decided we wanted to order several gallery wrap canvas prints for the house, including two big ones of the kids.  It took us a lot of figuring and refiguring to decide where to put them, but the big wall in the living room won.  And I have to give kudos to my husband for making sure everything went up good and straight.  He’s a perfectionist.  I’m not even going to share the details of […]
