I know this looks like just a simple snapshot of teagan hanging out at my mom and stepdad’s house.  But it makes my heart ache….

My first thought is “oh my gosh does he look like ty at this age!”  My memories of Ty at 18 months are all wrapped up in this house.  My first husband had only been gone a few months, my stepdad had just suffered a spinal cord injury and Ty and I, living an hour away, spent A LOT of time at my parents house while Larry was in the hospital.  We helped my mom go back and forth, kept things tied down at the house […]

One of the things I love about my new iphone is having a camera around that is super easy and accessible.  It doesn’t take the greatest of pics but it feels good to have some easy snapshots.  Teagan….has been….uhmmmm….busy.  Yeah, that’s the word….busy.

(taco night; sacked out after the water park playdate; chair jumpin; chillaxin and stuck in the bumbo; helping mom with the papertowels; door art; terrorizing taryn by turning off the tv; sorting magazines; peekaboo)

these two deserve to be a little bigger.  the first shot of yuck and muck cracks me up, silly kids.  the second shot…..i ran to […]

1. Teagan weaned.  All on his own.  Cold turkey.  A week ago Friday.  I’m sad.  And proud.  I can look at him right now and say, I grew that.  Look what I did.  And I’m proud of that.  But I miss it.  Horribly.  Probably doesn’t help that since he went cold turkey that I’m in a lot of pain.  Thanks little dude.  If y’all hear about a cow exploding just north of Austin, no worries, it’s just me.  Seriously though, tough time, end of an era.  I’m trying to focus on the positives…like getting my thyroid rechecked and under control.  It’s still all out of whack from having Taryn and I refused to take the necessary meds while pg or […]

a rough one

2009-07-16T17:52:32-05:00July 16th, 2009|My Family|

this week has been a rough one.  every.single.day.  all 3 kids seem to be tired, cranky, high maintenance, or at least, more so than usual.  taryn especially.  it’s been bad.  really bad.  she’s pulled everything to banging on the walls at naptime to throwing books, jumping off the furniture, screaming as loud as she can over every.little.thing.  meltdowns gallore.  flat out refuses to eat.  cannot sit still, which is really, really not like her.  i actually sat in our bedroom for a few minutes before jason left this morning and just cried.  knowing what was coming during the day.  and it did.  just totally overwhelmed.  and then jase had a lightbulb moment after my 3rd email about our day and […]

1.  I really need to take some pictures of my kids.  They’ve had a pretty nice long break.  It’s time.  Will do this week.

2.  Saturday we all went and got our hair chopped at Birds.  And by “all” I mean all the people in the house that have hair, me, teagan & taryn.  taryn and teagan got their signature do’s, a bob and a faux hawk respectively.  And I got my hair chopped.  I thought it was around 4 inches but MC took one look at me the other night and said way more…..maybe 6 or so?  Ty took a quick snap for me…it’s not in focus…but it’s me.  And a photo of me is pretty rare around here.  […]

1.  I celebrated my 34th birthday yesterday.  It was a nice day, relaxed with my family, got a ton of wonderful birthday wishes, phone calls from loved ones, fun birthday mail and a nice dinner out with my favorite people in the world.  Oh, and even a few new toys for my camera!  All in all, a good day.

2.  When i asked Taryn how old she thought I was, I about fell over when she said “FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN”.  Wow, I knew it was a loaded question but sheesh!

3.  My mom’s birthday is tomorrow, Happy Birthday Eve Mom!!!

4.  I think the most awesome of all the gifts I received was from Taryn.  She drew me a great big picture […]
