1.  Dealing for Duchenne in Austin.  Amazing.  Very cool night.  I feel so blessed to have been a part of it.  At one point, Jase I were surrounded by Texas royalty, he turned and looked at me and said “how did weeee get heeeere?!”  HA!  Yes, a little surreal to say the least considering we’ve only been open here in Austin for under 2 years.  A lot of money was raised for a very good cause.  I will say, and this is difficult for me to admit, that I felt very proud when Timmy’s slideshow played for the crowd on the big screen.  I get very nervous in big crowds in general, but when it comes to people viewing my […]

1.  In addition to getting ready for this weekend my days this week have been filled with one little boy fighting asthma, it’s been a rough one.  I told his doctor yesterday morning, after his 3rd rough day in a row, that I feel like we are missing a piece of the puzzle.  Something is off, I don’t know what I’m missing, what his doctors are missing, but its something.  I swear asthma kids are one big puzzle and it takes forever to put it all together!  I’ve also had one super, super sassy little miss T on my hands. What is it with her this week?  Not listening seems to be at the top of her to-do list.  And […]

Taryn got a big kid bike today, her very first.  We took the training wheels off as soon as we got home.  I have a feeling that (1) Jase is going to be massively sore tomorrow morning from all the assistance in balancing her today.  Even with this.  (2)  She’ll have it down pat very soon.  (3)  Teagan will be taking over the big kid trike within days and (4) My girl is growing up much, much too quickly.

I also finally managed to catch a quick video of Teagan running, which I’ve been meaning to do for awhile.  His run makes me smile.  And laugh.  I think if the whole […]

1.  Sing it with me now….one of these things is not like the other….one of these things just isn’t the same…..

[I realize this already made an appearance on my facebook page a week or so ago, but I think it needs to be here as well.  I think it is a classic I’ll always want to remember no?!]

2.  Here comes trouble.

He is quite literally in to everything.  I love having a rough and tumble little boy in the house again.  Love it.  But man he keeps me hoppin.  There isn’t a moment that goes by that I don’t soak him in.  […]

I seem to be behind on everything this week.  I’ve been an editing machine and working into the wee hours of the morning.  But I had to pause and pull a few from this morning.  My girl started her very first dance class today.  She brought her new teacher a flower and a picture she drew.  And her dance teacher loved them both.  And Taryn loved the class.  I took a few photos of her on the way out, but then left the camera behind in an effort to take the pressure off.  She adored getting dressed, prancing around and watching herself dance in the mirror.  As always, slow to warm, I got quite a few funny facial expressions (as […]

Sometimes when I download photos of Taryn, I just sit at my computer and laugh and shake my head.  This batch was no exception.  What the heck is this?!?!  What is she doing?!  Searching for cooperation….cause there was none of that to be found, believe you me!

Apparently, its hilarious.  Weird kid I tell ya.  But I love her.

ps- Lots coming up on the blog this week!  I spent my day being an editing machine and whipped through 3 sessions (11 more to catch up, whew!), I have a few sneak peeks to post, a bunch of sessions to share and a few features on birth photographers from The Birth […]
