was spent laying low.  after yesterday, it was a must.  and it was nice.  we did celebrate by Jase taking Ty and his best friend out to Austin Park & Pizza, then home to a movie and sleepover.  perfect way to end the summer.  they had a blast and it was nice to have a somewhat quiet night with Teagan and Taryn.  Teagan went to sleep at the normal time and then I let Taryn stay up late.  we made a cake in honor of her new favorite color….it will make an appearance tomorrow.  until then, I leave you with this, my little man during his bath tonight….

Taryn:  Mommy, guess what, I taught daddy something new and special yesterday.

Me:  really?  what’s that honey?

Taryn:  That he needs to have paaaaatience at the red lights.

Me:  bwwwwahahahaha.

Bad day today.  The kids were horrible.  All of them.  I was that mother today, glaring at her children in public, frustrated, stressed, took on too much for one day and tired beyond recognition.  All the way home in the car I contemplated the logistics of never going out into public again with the 3 of them alone.  How bad would that really be??  I think Jase knew it was a bad day when I came through the door, absolutely done, immediately handed them off and hid in the bedroom for a few hours […]

So, T’s birthday was last month.  And no, I haven’t taken any birthday shots of her yet.  I had big plans to, but other things came up.  Then we went out of town, came home sick, her surgery is coming up and it just seems unfair to drag her out when she isn’t feeling well.  Sooooo….these will serve as her birthday photos.  And I’m ok with that.  I’ve dreamed of these photos for over a year.  My mom bought this suit for her last spring, I saved it and horded it away until it was time for us to go to the beach last summer.  Then like a big dummy, I left it sitting on the fireplace hearth when we […]
