Fall has managed to find it’s way to Central Texas and our house.  To this I say ‘Thank God’ and ‘Adios 110 temps!’

I love this time of year.  So crisp, the smells, the fresh air, temps you can actually go outside in, pumpkin spice latte’s, fall crafts and projects.  Our family embraces it in a big way….

our front door…..this is the kids new favorite spot, they gravitate here.  Teagan loves to pat the scarecrow on the top of its head, rearrange the pumpkins, sit on the haystack and fiddle till his little heart […]

I had to run a few errands this morning and timed it just right for a trip to the park.  We tried out a new one I spotted near one of my client’s home.   Taryn & Teagan had a blast, I’m so glad I had my camera with me.  A shot I never knew I wanted but am now so glad I have it.  New fave!!  I snapped it right after she said “Come see me little dude!”

Awwww, total mommy moment, but it melts my heart.  My girl has come a long way.

1.  All our kids woke up at 6 am this morning.  Two, and I’ll let you guess which two, were screaming.  By 8 am, Teagan announced “Momma!!!!!  I so grouchy”  LOL!!!  It sounded so funny coming out of his mouth!  But he was right on, it was true!

2.  I love the way Taryn says “armadillo”…..”arm-a-jello”.  We try and work it into family conversation daily.  No easy task, try it sometime.  Totally worth it around here.

3.  We’re having our family photos taken this weekend coming and I haven’t even given a first thought to what we are going to wear.  If I were to stop and think about it, I would totally panic!!!  Anyone want to dress us???

4.  A photographer friend, […]

A certain little someone was released from her doctor yesterday to return to normal activities as of today.  She’s quite thrilled about that.  Today….she’s off and running again.  Quite literally.

austin_child_photography

Not only running and jumping again with glee, she’s eating and drinking and lasting longer between medicine doses.  We will not miss the repetitve “Taryn, don’t run…..Taryn, don’t jump….Taryn, we don’t want your throat to start bleeding, please come sit down”….it goes on and on.  Exhausting.  One minute we would have to fuss to keep her down and calm and the next we would be doing our best to keep her pain free long enough to eat or drink or sleep or […]

1.  I am pacing our house right now waiting for ty to get home and tell me all about his day with MICHAEL PHELPS.  Yes, you read that right!  Crazy huh?!?  Ty was one of a handful of kids that were chosen to meet the olympic champion.  How freaking cool is that?!?!  I SO wanted to go and bring my camera, but they said no.  Something about a media release agreement or something or other.  Blah, Blah, Blah, Boo….Ty was psyched and I can’t wait to hear all about it!

2.  Little T is on her way back.  It’s been a tough road, and she’s not there yet.  But she will be soon.  We’re all pretty happy about that.

3.  Do you […]

tee-hee.

after my session this morning we ventured out (in the rain!) to the pumpkin patch with our good friends.  i must admit, we had a blast.  it was rainy and wet and much, much less stressful than last year (it was summertime hot, dusty and just horribly miserable).  last year after hearing 3 kids scream and complain for the hour drive there and back, jase and i swore it off with a “never, ever, ever again”.  i can’t remember if i blogged about it, it was ‘that’ bad.  much like seaworld.  and maybe it’s because we’ve all been cooped up with taryn’s broken arm then surgery recovery, i don’t […]
