Dear Gee….

While sending our 11 year old a FOUR PAGE list of practical jokes to play on people makes you the best Gee Gee in the entire world, it doesn’t make you the most popular mom and mom-in-law. Let’s just say he had it coming. He was due.

This makes me laugh so hard I can barely even stand it. Ty did not, and does not, think this was funny. At all.

**I had to go digging through some major archives to find this shot of taryn & jase from 2006**

Same daddy, different kid.  Karma, it’ll get ya every time.  Just like the first time, he just finished making a smart alec comment to me…..when WHAM-O, Teagan got him.  Don’t mess with me dude, me and my babies, we’re like *this*

the whole southern smocked thing isn’t really my style for my little guy (no offense to those who love it!)….but this was just way too cute to pass up.  you don’t see it nearly as much in south texas as you do south louisiana though.  my mom bought this for teagan (thanks mom!!) and we literally had to stuff him in it before he outgrew it….another 5 minutes or another meal….and we might have been too late LOL!  and we had to do it when my cute husband wasn’t around to avoid the inevitable scoffing shaking of the head….doesn’t matter, Teagan is workin’ it….don’t you think?

oh the irony is just too much.  the “looooook at me!” and the exasperated “sit stiiiiiiilllllllll“…..right back atcha kid!

being the good example (and adult) that I am, I look everywhere but at her and wiggle like I’ve got ants in my pants.  it’s kind of fun to dish it out for once, I must admit.

it does however totally melt my heart that when she opened it up she said “look, I’m like mommy!!” with a great big smile  😀

We’ve come a long way baby

I drove to the party, make a quick appearance and left.  I headed to the […]

life has been chaotic.

while we had a wonderful christmas with the kids, it’s been a rough few weeks, everyone has been sick.  well, everyone except for ty, who is freaksishly healthy.  taryn brought something nasty home from her trip to louisiana and passed it all around.  on christmas eve, our pediatrician called with teagan’s blood wor results from all his brick dust / yellowing of the skin incidents and thankfully, everything came back normal.  we still don’t know what is causing it, but his urine tests and blood work looks good.  i was glad they called because he was on day 3 of running a fever and we thought they were closed for the holiday.  they had us bring him […]
