These people have my heart. I first met them 14 years ago when my sweet client, Julie Applewhite, wife of assistant UT football coach Major Applewhite, asked me if I would be interested in doing some charity work for a family Mack and Sally Brown were raising money for. I had no idea the first time I met these 4 that I would still be photographing them all this time later. We have shared so many laughs and prayers, what a huge blessing they are! These now young adults have big beautiful hearts and a faith in God we should all strive for. This first image might be my most favorite image of them ever….the power of prayer!

So filled with love and grace and their hearts are just so, so big. I first met them last year as a part of a fundraiser with Mack & Sally Brown to benefit Cure Duchenne. I was lucky enough to get to help tell their story last year and am honored to do so again this year. We’ll be doing a photo shoot in a few months to prepare for the big event. It’s almost time, I’ve also been tying up loose ends with the Dealing for Duchenne fundraiser that is this coming up Saturday at the UT Golf Club. I know Julie and the other co-chairs have been working so hard to get ready and it’s going to be SO worth it! It’s not too late to get your tickets, it’s going to be an awesome night, famous people, casino gambling, an auction, all for a great cause!
