1.  I really need to take some pictures of my kids.  They’ve had a pretty nice long break.  It’s time.  Will do this week.

2.  Saturday we all went and got our hair chopped at Birds.  And by “all” I mean all the people in the house that have hair, me, teagan & taryn.  taryn and teagan got their signature do’s, a bob and a faux hawk respectively.  And I got my hair chopped.  I thought it was around 4 inches but MC took one look at me the other night and said way more…..maybe 6 or so?  Ty took a quick snap for me…it’s not in focus…but it’s me.  And a photo of me is pretty rare around here.  […]

backtracking just a bit, the twins | austin family photographer

I have quite a few sessions that are all finished up and just sitting my que to come blog.  In fact, these have already been delivered but I wanted to backtrack just a bit and come share how big these twin boys are.  Not to mention CUTE!!  I just love Watch Me Grow baby planners….here are their birth (here too) and newborn sneak peeks.

I had a few people ask if they are identical or not and their mom says no, they are fraternal.  While they look a lot alike, I can really tell them apart now at 3 months old (I couldn’t at all at their newborn session!).  […]

one setup, three shots | austin newborn photographer

It’s been awhile since I posted something like this and I thought it was about time.  Not sure how helpful it will be, but I took a few setup shots when I was over at MC’s photographing baby Tommy recently.  MC had several requests for his newborn photos, one being that she wanted some of them earthy, natural and that they have a lot of texture.  Finding green in the massive heatwave that is Texas right now is tough, but we did it, and with high sun!  These were shot maybe around 2 pm in the afternoon, but on a large covered porch.  The light was good and bright so I was able to put his back to the light […]

I know I’ve said it all before, each birth is so amazing, each one is so different.  And it is true.  I am so thankful to have been invited to share in this birth experience.  I think I’ve mentioned this before, but most of my birth clients are either 2nd, 3rd or 4th+ time moms.  I think it’s because first time moms have a fear of the unknown, not knowing what to expect, how they will react, would make anyone anxious about having it photographically documented.  But what 2nd+ time moms know, and this is the reason they make up a large amount of my clientele, is that you will forget.  You think you won’t, but you will.  The memories […]

After my first session early this morning I stopped by MC’s to take some official newborn photos of their new little guy and beautiful family.  At only 4 days old, he was a dream, soooooo sleepy and let me do whatever I wanted.  He put his feet like this all on his own, isn’t he fabulous?!?!

I know his momma will be taking tons of beautiful photos of him in the days to come, but I was so happy to capture some of them together (don’t worry, we have some of Jack too!).  Check out those wrinkles, I’m a sucker for wrinkled little babies….
